Whew! What a day. Just like any day it had it's ups and downs. First off, I had Day 1 of 2 days to work on an in-class essay for film class, next, I had a French test that I thought I did quite well on. After that I got the rest of the day off to go to the mall where our Regional Robotics Competition was held.

And guess what? We won it all! Our robot had the most points at the end of the competition, beating the closest competitor by 15 points (roughly 7 more balls scored). We basically had to roll soccer balls up a ramp that had a hole 3/4s of the way up and an opening at the very top. The very top hole were one pointers and the middle hole (which is smaller) is worth two. The event went really well since our robot didn't really undergo any stress damaged (excluding the one round where the robot was jittery since the receiver battery was low). Also, we had some fairly stiff competition some rounds. The Catholic School Division had a really close finish. The one team that goes onto Provincials beat the other Catholic school team by a single point.

Oh yea, and since I was at the mall I decided to buy two noteworthy CDs I've been waiting for from Machine Head and Clutch. I've listened to some of the Clutch one so far, and it's definitely rawkin' stuff.

Later on is the bit of the downer note because I lost my semi final game in hockey. Now, we can only place as high as third place, and we won't have the chance to go to Provincials. I guess I was just too tired from the whole day spent in the mall. Ohwell, at least I get to sleep in for a bit tomorrow, our school is basically "closed" for students not in Grade 10 due to the fact that Grade 10 students have the write the Literacy Test. I hoped I spelt that right... It could make them question whether I deserved to pass that test or not!

Hi there. It's been a while.

One decent thing happened today - Zarrexaij's mod for MW. which was partially done with my aid, finally came out. I hope people who appreciate older games and a good short blade will like it.

I should be happy and jumping with joy right now - instead, I manage to create another fight with my dad. Now he is just lying there in the living room, like a log, groaning in pain because nervousness affects his blood pressure and bowels. And in return, I feel like compassion. Lovely.

edit: compassion is not compassion, Minkey.

Congratulations Mallet for your success at the robotics competition. I've always thought robotics was interesting, but decided to study biology instead. Sounds like you had a good time.

@milanius: Sorry to hear you had a fight with your dad. I am excited about the new mod, though. I just pulled out Morrowind again and was looking for some new mods to try. The screenshots look great, so perhaps I'll give it a whirl.

A friend and I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark tonight, projected onto his basement wall. I had forgotten how much fun that movie is. I've heard they are planning to make another Indiana Jones movie, which I'm certain will be really, really bad. Why? Gut feeling, I guess. I hope I'm wrong.

This afternoon my dad and I are riding up to Oklahoma for the weekend. This is due to my grandfather's recent death, and his disorganization isn't helping his children get loose ends dealt with. One of the few highlights is that I can spend some time with my cousin (Morrowind fan).

I hope it rains, because then I can play with him again on Saturday (shame on me). jk In other news managed to complete downloading for Shivering Isles, which I managed to preview last night between homework and bed.
Such a short teaser that I still don't have a great feel for it.......

This sums up about an hour and a half of gameplay:

-ran around for thirty minutes trying to figure out how to activate the quest.

-jogged through the Fringe, and killed the Gatekeeper.

-entered Shivering Isles through Dementia, and talked with Sheogorath, etc, etc......

Seems to be spring here in TN- dogwood, apple, and redbud are blooming. So it is time to work on getting the mowers operational again... sigh.

But it is also possible to go barefoot, and feel the cool kiss of the new clover and dandelions under my feet. And so 40 or more springs and summers drop away in an instant. I recall how it was when the most momentous decision was which tree to climb, or whether to go up into the woods or down to the lake- or maybe both?

The daffodils Mrs. Treydog transplanted from her grandparents' house have bloomed and gone, so too the snowdrops we brought from my folks' place.

There is not enough time- there never is- but this moment is perfect.

Ugh! That was terrible Revan, lol! But I guess it's better than nothing. Then again, a terrible pun is sometimes so bad it's good.

Well, after tomorrow I firmly believe my work schedule will deminish in intensity since by the end of tomorrow I'll have my philosophy project done, and the editing process to my film will be done. Perfect timing too, since Wednesday night is Countdown to UFC 69 and All Access: UFC 69, and Thursday night is Ultimate Fight Night and the premiere of season 5 of The Ultimate Fighter. Then on Saturday is UFC 69! So this week is definitely a great week of television for MMA fans.

Those seem to be the words my friend Josh lives by. wacko.gif

For April Fools Day I had a lot of fun. My cousin recently got hooked on Morrowind (And Oblivion), so I made a special dungeon with the Construction Set, filled with pranks, just for him. biggrin.gif I am so cruel...

Thanks, but I said Morrowind, not Oblivion. If anyone has the PC version of Morrowind I can send you a modified version of the prank dungeon if you would like.

Well, the weather around here has truly been messed up as of late. Just about a week and a half ago, we had 20 degree (celcius) weather and now it's been snowing for the last three days. Tis truly strange.

Also.... Man! Work today is busy, this is totally ruining the time I give myself to write my fan fic update! Looks like I might have to finish it at home, which'll be after I get a haircut and make a phone payment. Busy, busy day. The fights are also on tonight. Gotta cheer for my national champion, Georges St.Pierre!
