Well the easy part is that our dish washing is based on speed. Basically I just hose down the excess crap, scrub the baked on stuff, then shove it into our high powered washer that basically washes and drys a rack of dishes in like a minute. The dishes are close to being uncomfortable hot afterwards, but it's not too bad.

Cleaning the frying pans by hand is the only annoying thing I really have to do.

tell you what, my first job was cleaning dishes, and I did not like it one bit. It left my fingers all clammy and when i got off, i felt like i needed a shower, but I had been around soapy water all day, and I couldn't stand it.

Ah, but that is a a little bit of the amazing history of the Priest. Did you know that the Priest met a man last veteran's day that had been shot fourteen times on the same day, and still performed his duty in Vietnam?

I got a letter from AmVets yesterday, (American Veterans, I pay a monthly support fee and my family used to give them our outgrown clothes), they mentioned everyone that was going to be at the war memorial in downtown Indy, and the man I met last year is going to be there again. His name, rank included, is First Lieutenant James C. Ransford, and he has been awarded like a trillion purple hearts. The man can't die....

Anyways, thats how vets are treated in Indiana, how are things in other states?

Oh Priest, you'd hate how Florida treats them ... most of our permanent and some of the seasonal homeless guys are Nam vets and they are like invisible to society here.

They mostly prefer to 'live in the bush' in camps in the woods and offroad areas. They do come into town, sometimes to the shelters and sometimes for other stuff like to beg by the side of the highways or hold up signs 'will work for food'.

I kid you not, it is so depressing and yet most of them got treated so horribly when returning home from Nam that they have no intention of ever coming back 'into' society.

And special rescue efforts had to be made to them even during the summer of the 4 hurricanes because even the hurricanes couldn't make them come in and many of them weathered it out in rigged up tents out in the palm trees. Amazing - and survived.

Well, when I was going to the courtyard, he happened to be in front of me. He looked behind him at least five times. Then he sort picked up in speed...

Man that saddened me so much. I guess I'll try to talk to him tomorrow and apologize for... scaring him?

Ugh, my current problem is that I have no time on my hands on weekdays where I have work right after school. And because I don't get home until 12ish, I have no inclination to do any homework which results in me waking up early to do it. Bah!

Hopefully my weekends will be more enjoyable. I still have one more day to work this week though, unfortunately.

We have a psyche? Thats very flattering but perhaps an overestimation, we don't develop a psyche until 27.

Vicious rumors, all of it.

@Zarr: no apologies, god damn it. Just tell him you're sorry for startling him & say you LIKE HIM. That's it, really, men have NO psyche. We're pretty straightforward at times, although sub-species [like me] can be pretty screwed up and grouchy.

@Mallet: Send me your job! I like doing dirty work that no one else wants and is really nice and mind [and hand?] numbing

@Soulseeker: welcome back, my good man

The worst part of going outside of your house or flat to wherever you have to get to is returning home. Walking back home, past all the smiling couples, kids, decent cars, the life around you, and thinking that you're returning to nothing and no one. Really. Thank goodness for music, especially loud music.

Oh yea, it's definitely a hand numbing job as well. My fingertips are ridiculously smooth feeling but it's hard to tell because it sorta feels like I've lost any sensation to them tongue.gif

Hopefully I get used to it though. I got my last shift this week today so I'm looking forward to getting it over and done with.

This is nice, I share my dream with the world, and the dream smashes it into a billion tiny freaking pieces.

"Never be afraid to share your dreams with the world, because there is nothing more than the world loves than the taste of really sweet dreams."

Yeah, he also has a girlfriend, a chick I really freaking hate. Three weeks isn't long enough to know someone that well, so of course she'll end up smashing his heart. She's not a nice person at all...

Makes you wonder what some guys see in chicks. I think he's mostly seeing her tits and posterior....

I will beat the compassion out of Karma Police once I find those buttheads. They owe me & you MUCHO DINERO, dear. devilindifferent.gif

I knew this day [well, the previous for me] was more than crappy. First they screw us over at that course... correction - there is NO course, we'll learn everything 'on the fly', while we're working. Then I learn that Lucano Pavaroti died. And then, I freeze because it's frigging cold and there is no heating until October 15th... someone must've cast Cone of Crap, Lv4 spell.

Don't even suggest I try stealing him either. It's against my priciples, and if he'll leave her for me, he'd probably leave me for someone else.

Stealing a girl or boy from someone else = scummy
