Ok, everyone go and check your e-mail inboxes for the latest Newsletter from Bethesda! In this issue there is a new Dev Diary all about the creation of landmass and the environment.

Check it out here.

There is also mentioning of the dress up contest to win a signed copy of the CE Oblivion for your choice of platform. Truthfully, I was much more interested in the diary!

Edit: Damn, I got the title of the Dev Diary wrong in the title. Could a mod fix it for me? It should read "A Breif History of Cyrodiil," thanks. goodjob.gif

Oh man, they spelled Waiting4Oblivion wrong.. "WaitingforOblivion.com", that's just embarassing kvright.gif. Other than that there wasn't much to note on that newsletter, pretty boring I must say. Have to read the dev diary yet though.

The clear night's sky looks amazing. Also, the variation in the trees and the way they made the leave all looks really complex. Can't wait...

Yeah, I've read the dev diary now and it sure sounds amazing. It's incredible that all of that was done with the Construction Set wich we have access to! biggrin.gif Can't wait to try generating my own beautiful forests... tongue.gif
Also, who would have known that they actually have a Real star dome with the 13 constellations on wich can be followed throughout the in-game year! That's really an excess feature that makes the game even more amazing and unlike anything we've seen before. Then there is this:

Here is a sampling of the many landscape items one might encounter during their adventures in TESIV: Oblivion

35,544 shrubs and bushes

67,730 Plants and Mushrooms

94,013 Trees and Fallen Logs

395,696 Rocks

I was speachless for a couple of minutes when I read the above.. Almost 400 000 different rocks! 100 000 different trees and logs and in total a wopping 600 000 objects! Simply breathtaking..
