I have no idea how to mod or if is even possible to do what i'm thinking could be done, but earlier on one of the forums I go to, someone posted this particular program:

http://www.facegen.com/

Apparently Oblivion uses the same program to make the faces in the game.

What you can do with this program is upload your own picture and it'll automatically configure the face to look as close to the picture you gave it as possible.

I checked out the settings in the program and the settings in oblivion and they are pretty much word for word.

Thing is, you can't translate the settings from the program to oblivion that well at all. I mean, lets face it, the face creation in oblivion is pretty horrid. I mean, you move this one slider to exactly where you want it, and then you move another slider and it screws up everything you just did, making recreating your face damn near futile.

Anyways, down to the point, the mod idea i'm suggesting is letting you put numerical values in the face creation thing in oblivion so that way you can upload your picture to that program and copy the settings number for number directly over to oblivion and basically net yourself an avatar that looks almost exactly like you.

Is this even possible though?

it might be possible but we have to redo the whole engine...so I guess it's illegal

Wow, yeah, that sounds pretty hard to do.

I tried messing around with this on the construction kit but the sliders also move in response to other sliders moving. Perhaps there is some way to disable this? or yeah, maybe that would require reworking the engine.

At best maybe someone could add an indicator that shows what position the slider is in a numerical fashion. It still sucks that the other sliders move when one moves (Seriously, whoever came up with that should have been fired), but at least with a numerical value somewhere, you can see how far off the numbers went and kinda weave your way so you're at least close to the value instead of guessing where the hell you're at or how far off the slider is.
