Hi all!

I always liked to try to make "kung-fu" type characters to see if the game supports them, that is, I create a character where I invest most of the points into agility, critical hits, etc... and throughout the whole game I never use a weapon. In some games, like Lionheart and Neverwinter Nights, this worked well: the agility made me almost "un-hitable" and I managed to hit a lot with a lot of critical hits.

I would like to know if anyone tried this in the Elder Scrolls world, specially in Oblivion. For example, starting with a Kahjiit, with all the extra agility points and hand-to-hand combat would that be possible? Making a "Bruce Lee"-deadly-weapon character?

What do you think of it? (I still don't have the game, waitng for it to be available at Amazon, that's why I am asking)

Thanks!

From what Ive seen off the unarmed gameplay, its a lot more fun than morrowind. Also once you get your acrobatics high enough, you could do defensive rolls and stuff. So I think you could have alot of fun with a hand to hand character.

I'll have to try this, it'll be fun, I hope it works well.
I'll add more when I've tried for a while.

Well I'd imagine that i'd work much better in OB than it did in MW. Mainly because of the skill perks. You get some good perks for unarmed combat and blocking. It makes it easier to disarm people and things of that nature. In MW you couldn't really make a good martial arts character. However in OB it seems very possible with the new combat system.

I've tried a little bit now, it works great, the damage ain't really so different from blade or any weapon, and you are much faster, and can more easily dodge stuff. I'm a good thief, merchant and fighter, it's very cool biggrin.gif

I had a hand-to-hand character in Morrowind, I leveled up faster than ususal but once I got to a certain point I felt handicapped at times =(

I'll definately make an Oblivion character that majors in hand-to-hand at one point or another. From what I've heard the whole system was balanced out signifigantly.
