This story is about a slave Khajiit boy (in Vardenfall) that falls in love with the maid of his owner.

This is the point, I need names and more important could a female Khajiit have long hair on her head.

Sounds cool. I believe in Daggerfall, khajiits had hair. But I think it was a different bread of Khajiit. If Im right, there are three breeds of Khajiits. But since Im on my school computer, all the good recources are blocked. As for names, just make a name that sounds like a Khajiit. Thats what I did in my story for my khajiit character "An'jirr".

You might want to check out the Imperial Library for names.

And yes, I can't see why a female Khajiit couldn't have long hair.

A bit more than that actually.

Alfiq(-Raht), Dagi(-Raht), Tojai(-Raht), Pahmar(-Raht), Senche(-Raht), Suthay(-Raht), Ohmes(-Raht) and the Cathay(-Raht).

Yeah, they are different subtypes. I just didn't want to write the entire name again. tongue.gif

Thanks for all the help guys. But I have yet another question.

I'm working on another story and I pickup a name: S'Vandra for a girl, (a queen Khajiit to be more precise) but this chart states that thats a male name. Would that be a big problem, if so: could some think up a name that looks like S'Vandra but is clearly female (I don't see what makes male or female in these names, but I do everything to make it as realistic as possible)

I was right. The Khajiit in Daggerfall have long hair. They basicly look like humans with cat ears and a tail.

Well, it sounds sorta like a Khajiit name. I don't see anything wrong with the name... except maybe the "An'" part? Don't Khajiit have a sort of "prefix" in front of their name in order to show their status (example: mother, child, mage, thief, etc)? I could be mistaken... :ashamed:

Yes, they do have "prefixes". However, I've never heard of An before.

Here's a snip from an interview with Jobasha
Khajiti men show their status in life with their names, unless they choose a nickname. In Jobasha's case, as a "scholar," Jobasha uses "Jo" alone, not "S'basha-Jo," for using two titles shows great ignorance or great pride.

"M" or "Ma" means "child" or "apprentice" or, in the vernacular, "virgin." As an apprentice can be of any age, this leads to misunderstandings and jokes Jobasha cannot translate.

"J," Ji," or "Ja" means a bachelor or young adult. In the vernacular, it means one who is young and lacks experience.

"S" is the most common, and means simply an adult.
Concept sketch of a Khajiit

"Ra" and "Ri" show high status. "Ri" is the highest status among the Khajiit, used by leaders of cities or tribes.

"Dro" means "grandfather" and shows respect.
"Raht"s tend to be a bigger, stronger, and all around better version of the original. Some have some other differences between the base and the Raht (Like Ohmes and Ohmes-raht).

Ok, I split this topic in half now. Simply to keep things simple and clean. This is now the discussion thread for the story, where the Original poster can ask for advice and ask questions.

The story itself and comments have been moved here:
