Just some time ago, when I loaded my character in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, it stopped moving. I could do anything else, jump, cast spells, wait, etc. , but my character just wouldn't move. It would slide, just centimeters per second, but that was as far as it went. I tried on other chars, didn't work.

I even downloaded and installed the patch v1.1b, but even that didn't work.

Is there anything I can do, apart from re-installing the game? Has anyone else encountered anything like this? Please, I need help.

EDIT: Nevermind, rebooted and works again. Mods may delete this thread if they want to.

I had the same when I was at lower levels (1-15 or so). Suddenly I starting moving in REAL slow motion. It got fixed after exiting and reloading the game though, but it was annoying as hell...

Me too - I rebooted, but nothing helped. It went away after a reinstall.

maybe you had a joystick pluged in? if the game detects a joystick it will automatically derive the controls to it, so you couldnt use the "w, s, a, d" arrows. at least something like that happend to me, still it sometimes crush when it loads a new area or when i exit the game :S appart from that it works great.
