Master Forger, Where's he at? Options

In the Heironymous Lex quest where you are supposed to 'help' him get a new job, I can't find the forger. I am in Anvil and the homeless guy tells me that he is in the house next to the Mage's Guild. I go to the abandoned house at the appointed times and nobody is there. If I follow the indicator on my compass, it points to an empty bench in the castle. I am on the 360 so no console cheat will work. Anyone run into this?

Sounds strange. Have you tried waiting outside/inside the house for a full 24 hours? Or a detect life spell on the empty bench? Maybe he's invisible.

There might ba a chance that the character is dead, I'm afraid. I've seen some others say that arrows are pointing towards dead quest-characters, like one of the counts in the Aid for Bruma quest.

Whilst I realise that you may well have done this, have you tried checking upstairs in the empty house? He was lurking up there when I did that quest.

As far as I can tell, this is a very small house with one door inside. I am pretty sure I have checked it all. One room is boarded off, though. I didn't find anything with the detect life spell.

I waited for 24 hours straight, then ran around the town checking back every hour ... no forger I wonder if he could be dead or something. I haven't killed anybody except in quests but he might have wandered out of the city and gotten killed. I wouldn't think the programmers would let that happen.

Hint: He has no real name. Look for someone whos name doesnt sound like one you get when youre born.

I dont think he is in the house all day lond,so I wold checking every hour .Like mritchey says
