I know I said I was not going to write a story but I had a lot of free time in my hands today and I got bored. So I probaly wont be updating daily but I'll do what I can so enjoy...

From the Dark

There he was… as cold and heartless as ever. The gods favored him and blessed him… then he had to turn it into a curse. He is the only one who could have turned the powers of healing and use it as a tool of destruction. But his treachery does not end there… as if it was not enough to bring suffering and agony to others, he also has to go down the dark and crooked path of self-destruction. Maybe there is something to be gained… and perhaps it is just unattainable for those who are ruled by sanity and righteousness. Whatever the reasons… there shall be no end to his obsession… and in his scornful words… “If it is something that can be stopped then go ahead and stop it!”

“Balmora… no matter how far you travel or how much you tried to get away… you always end up here.”

This aged man obviously knew what he was talking about… but Cinic could no longer stand his babbling. He usually enjoys befriending strangers and earning a warm place in their hearts before showing them the monster that he is while ending their lives. But this aged dunmer has strucked the last nerve and Cinic could no longer wait to bring his demise.

As always the frustration was a heavy toll but he always lived past it… in a weird way it is what makes the death of his victims all that much more enjoyable. Cinic began to smiled from the thought of seeing this aged dunmer choke on his own pool of crimson blood or how many gasps for air he will take before surrendering into the absolute darkness that always comes.

“What is it that makes you smile?’ asked the old man

“Huh? Nothing much… just some old memories” responded Cinic with a smirk on his face and false joy in his voice.

“Memories… I have many of those. Some enjoyable and others not so much” said the aged man somewhat laughing. “Do you have a place to stay tonight?”

“Not really… but no worries because I’ll find a warm bed to stay like always no matter what the odds.”

“In that case you should stay with me! No friend of mine while be out in the middle of the night searching for such things! Plus…” the man leaned in towards Cinic and whispered gently “ I’ll introduce you to my daughter…”

“I guess that is an offer I can’t refuse” answered Cinic cheerfully.

“This way my friend… by the way you will love my daughter… have I mentioned that she is single?”

The old man walked hurriedly across the stone bridge where he and his companion where standing for the past eternity. Cinic followed closely behind him and admitted that the moon was awfully bright and it made the river seemed somewhat magical.

The old man opened the door to a rather large house and walked in joyfully… Cinic stood in the doorway and look behind him straight into the hypnotic moon before closing the large door slowly behind him… and right before it closed shut a dark and crooked smile conquered his face no matter how fiercely he fought against it … a horrid smile that mortals only see once in their lifetimes.

P.S. I did not physicaly described Cinic but I will leave that to the next update... hopefully.

Looks like you've unleashed another psychopath upon us Mazelure! I can't wait to see how this one turns out.

I've also noticed you've taken a liking to Balmora, a lot of stuff happens there. I'm kinda curious on whether you pick that location for a reason or is it just coincidence.

i recall balmora as a place where you always seemed to 'end up' in morrowind. funny how im not the only who thinks so.

you have potential here for a great character and an interesting plot. My only advice is to keep an eye on accidental changes in tense. Its a common mistake among writers and can be thwarted be re-reading a couple of times. smile.gif

looking forward to it.

Oh yea, I hate dealing with tenses, I'm quite sure I still make mistakes with that in my writing.

I'm not sure what tenses are (not very bright... just lucky with words) but thanks for the tip...

Balmora is the place I found myslef hanging out most of the time when I played Morrowind and no matter where I went I always ended up back there... plus I have forgotten many towns and Balmora is just one of the few that I stil remember biggrin.gif

from your writing:

"and it made the river seemed somewhat magical" <--incorrect

"and it made the river seem somewhat magical" <--correct

if it helps, just read your sentences outloud to yourself. if it sounds wrong then chances are it is. dont get discouraged though, it happens to the best of us.

I see you've changed your avatar. Isn't that that...um.....Star Wars dude who got cut in two by Obi? He looked cool, but in my opinion the whole Star Wars thing began to decline there. I totally hate the new flashy style of jedi combat.

Anyway, your story is dark as always. And I like it. biggrin.gif

Yeah, that's Darth Maul. And yes he was the guy that Obi Wan cleaved in half in Episode I........ No, I'm not a fanatic, I just pay attention and have great memory.

He should have been tortured... he got of light.

Anyways here is a small update!

From the Dark

One orgasmic scream after the other… and once it is done always the same question… why?

Why are you doing this!?
Why!?

To tell the truth I really don’t know the answer… never really thought of it that deeply. It cant be bloodlust since I never had a fetish or obsession for it… and it cant be anger since I never had a reason or the time to get angry with them… but I guess I do know why.

It has always been there and I have always known… I have felt it time and time again. I breathe it, I bathe in it, I live in it… HATE.

The hate that devours me is not that of a mortal. Mortals posses a fiery, infernal hatred that burns within them in the coldest of winters. Mine is so much more wretched and relentless. Like an artic wind that plagues a land for eternity were no man or creature can live, like sinking into the darkest pit of a cruel ocean without being able to breathe nor die, like being buried alive yet not joining the dead… so all you can feel is hate for the living… hate for the dead… hate for the moon… hate for the sun… hate for existence… hate for hate.

And it is because of that crown of virulence hatred placed on my head that I enjoy making you scream in agony and bleed in despair. That is why I take your life and throw you into the complete darkness that governs me. That is why I smile when all else frowns… that is why!

Well, this is my first post, and I thought that I should make it on this story, as it caught my eye. This Cinic is kind've a creep; a very strange, murderous creep... and it's cool. Even with a few grammatical errors (easily solved) it was still intriguing. Anyways, I hope that you find the time to continue on with it, and good luck.
