What are some silly or odd things you have learned in Skyrim? Here are a few of mine. It can snow lots, without a trace of accumulation! It is possible to walk (jog, or even sprint) fully on snow and ice, and never fall flat on your ass! Why risk your life when chopping wood can earn hundreds in one day!? Skooma sucks (literally) in Skyrim. Nobody knows how to brew it like they did in 3rd-era Cyrodiil. Alcohol causes drunken effects for 30 seconds at a time! *On a rare cloudless day* Ahh! What IS that giant white ball in the sky? Food often has restorative properties. Who needs a hospital bed when a bowl of vege soup will do just fine? The art of spell creation has been lost in just 200 years, while the technology to make crossbows has finally been re-attained. Guards often speak in funny accents! "Wait! I knuh yoo!" Lots of folks apparently have their sweetrolls stolen. Cat-people make the best travelling sages. This post has been edited by Lady Saga: Mar 7 2013, 06:07 PM

ha ha yeah, that is true. Actually, getting hit with an arrow can sometimes be a good thing, if the PC is an archer!

When the stars are right, immense reptiles that must weigh in excess of ten tons are able to fly backwards. Since they were cross-bred with spiders, horses are entirely able to walk up vertical surfaces without trouble, but will refuse to enter cities due to fear of being swatted by fearful homeowners. Yeah, eat those cheese wheels! And that's true about horses and their abilities for sure. Actually....I have learned that.. Horses can swim great distances. Nobody ever attacks carriages. Looking into somebody's pocket is not a crime. Sigurd works for Belethor! ... at the general goods store! This post has been edited by Lady Saga: Mar 7 2013, 06:07 PM

Ha ha I like the shovel one! We can dig things up with pickaxes, but shovels? Get out! Here's a few more: Olfrid (patron of the great clan Battle-Born) is a name I'm sure you know well! Crickets, cicaedas, lightning bugs, and other warm-weather insects can survive (apparently) in Skyrim's brutal cold. Attracting the opposite sex is as easy as wearing a cheap amulet around one's neck. QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Mar 7 2013, 10:30 AM) Every time he passes by me and says that, I want to knock his teeth out. WE GET IT, GEEZ!
Yes I know!... But did you know that Sigurd works for Belethor? At the general goods store? ...sorry!

Yet somehow Khajiit and Bosmer are immune! You can swing a sword or shoot a bow from horseback, but you have to dismount to cast a spell. Shouting affects the weather! You can carry an unlimited amount... as long as you’re willing to walk. Turn Undead and paralyze are not Illusion spells. Because it’s so taxing, vampires can only be charming once a day. Werewolves aren’t affected by the full moon(s), and they can’t see in first person. and, my favorite:

I don't know why, but there's something about that statement that I can't help but find immensely existential. Your wounds will slowly knit themselves back together given time, but if you transform into an unstoppable, Hircine-fueled killing machine, then that's completely out the window.

They are, actually. It doens't show in the game, but their stats become stronger in both wolf and normal form if the moons are full . It is called "Full Moon Rising." Lore-wise, they shouldn't have full moon transformations . . .except for Sinding, who isn't part of the Circle's strain. Enough rambling though, I completely agree with you on this matter. First person, especially -_- Oh and werewolves who need Totems in order to have hunter's vision. What the hell is that, Bethesda? QUOTE(Colonel Mustard @ Mar 8 2013, 11:24 AM)

Yep. I sort of liked and disliked this. Bloodmoon did it better.

And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed. I long for scenes where man hath never trod A place where woman never smiled or wept There to abide with my Creator, God, And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept, Untroubling and untroubled where I lie The grass below—above the vaulted sky.â€

This is more of a bug than a silly thing, buuuut: QUOTE If you picked a common name for your character, a duplicate of your character may appear as a random pilgrim worshiping in the temple. Your doppelganger, if spoken to, may recite a word of power (similar to the Graybeards), nothing, or dialog from the priest of Mara. It otherwise cannot be interacted with or targeted for any purpose.
That's from the Wiki. I was looking up the temple of Mara in Riften when I came across this, lol
