www.project-entropia.comYou can put money in for money in-game, but I got rich without putting any money in. Just ask hunters if you can run for them. Run = Act as bait while they kill the creatures that chase you... EDIT: It's undergoing some visual overhauls at the moment as well, they are upgrading the engine a little more with every release. Huh. Looks like a way to earn cash. Ironic. Looks like I have a new job. Nah, I'm just kidding. Now, if this was like Silkroad (all enemies drop fifty gold) then I'd be set, five bucks an enemy. But I doubt they'd make it like that, far too easy. More likely it's almost impossible to find money would be my guess, unless you do as Brood says, and act as bait. Still, if this works, and it's fun, then I might as well earn myself a couple bucks. I figure I'll try it later, and see if it's fun. Then, if I can earn a few bucks at it, it'll be my new hobby. Friend: "Hey, buddy, where were you today?" Me: "At work." *sniggers* Oh, for those who don't get what I'm talking about I'll explain it. The ingame monetary system is based on PED, or Project Entropia Dollars. You can convert your real world money into ingame money. You can also convert your ingame money to real world money. Ten PED is worth one USD. Hopefully, I'll have a new method of income from this, while playing a fun game.

Project Entropia is fun, I played it for a while a couple of years ago but it was faaar too hard to make any progress, it was (too) laggy and had few features. I know much has changed since then, so I might give it a try again, but don't expect earning loads of cash from playing PE Btw, some people are really crazy and spend tons of money on the game, look at the news, that guy who bought that space-mansion, spending 100,000 USD on some bits and bytes? That's insane... On the other hand I heard he was some rich movie-guy. Oh yeah one more thing, I actually worked on the Project Entropia both in Dreamhack Summer 2004 ( link for those who don't know what Dreamhack is), as you might have noticed it's a swedish game. (Proud to be swede) Oh, and to stay on topic, onrg.com is a pretty good collection of MMOs, just don't trust much on their reviews or ratings, some are reaaaly out of scope.

I always loved Ultima Online. to find an almost-as-good-as-OSI-but-free server, download UO Age of Shadows or Mondains Legacy. Then go to www.uogateway.com and download that. sort servers by highest votes and choose the one at the top (it will always have the most votes). Forget the name of it, because i quit playing a month or so back. could never really get back into it but still the best MMO (MAYBE second to WoW) around.
great game where dieing is actually a horrible thing to be bestowed on your character. any item can be looted, including that million gold check your carrieing around (happened to me). you can also steal any item from any player, if your in the thieves guild.
word of advice: trust no one and bank your valuable items before heading out of town!!
