I cant get access to this site from work sad.gif so I am just wondering how oblivion is going to be played on mobile phones. Wouldnt the smaller screen size make the graphics just suck?? kvright.gif

Any thoughts or quotes from those sites please post.

Its only a birds-eye view like an old nintendo game or something.

Its another cheap marketing ploy that mobiles latch on to whenever a famous game comes out.
You will find that mobiles have their own version of any game these days.

A special Oblivion-version for Mobile Phones? It disgusts me. I dearly hopes it's none of Bethesdas ideas, or my respect for them will drop significantly, no matter the quality of Oblivion.

It wasn't their idea, they were given the opportunity. You forget Bethesda is owned by Zenimax, and Zenimax also owns a mobile phone gaming developer company. That means bethesda has the chance to increase their revenue for some sort of deal, or something.

So yeah, it's a cheap knock off, and I don't see why anyone would want to play it, but don't expect this to be the last game by bethesda that goes to mobile phone. Fallout 3, for instance.

Regardless of how bad a marketing ploy it seems to be, the game itself seems like it will suck. Who would want to play oblivion on a phone when they could play it on a computer or 360?

Also, did anyone watch that trailer? They used the exact same sound track from the trailer for the real game, and you can even hear where sound effects have been unsuccessfully cut out. For instance the parts where the sword swooshing around in the air would have been, some other stuff is, but you can still hear the sword! laugh.gif tongue.gif

I laughed so hard when I watched that trailer.

The music was all epic and powerful and it had the inspirational little words appearing at hyping it up...

But the videos looked like some lame boat Gamboy advance reject.

It gave me and my girlfriend a good laugh.

That's friggin cheap.. Personally I feel like that crap is like a punch in the face for us oblivion-fans but as Rappong said, every popular game has a mobile-version nowadays.. and they all suck tongue.gif. Guess we'll have to get used to it.
