uuh this should be in the Oblivion sub-forums, and I'm sure the Mods will find it soon enough.
But anyways, i like custom builds more. I havn't really looked at the pre-existing calsses but I've had an idea since I heard about Oblivion.

I tend to prefer to create my own class that way I can get every skill I want, I like to customize my characters as much as possible.
Welcome to the forums.

I ussualy look at a canned class (eg. knight or crusader) and look at its skills. I then make a custom class with pretty much the same skills, minus the ones I don't like. Pretty simple really.
i agree, taking ideas from existing classes is a good idea. thats what i did. just remember to choose skills which compliment each other, not all of them but have a few. i myself have 4 skills of one type and 3 skills of another (blade block heavy armour and armourer, and marksman sneak and security)
