I went to visit a brand new private zoo called the Reptarium. It was a lot of fun. I spent a good 2 - 3 hours there. It is all indoors, and most of it is reptiles (well the coolest parts are the reptiles), so its pretty hot inside. The other half is an aquarium, which is a lot cooler temperature wise. But not as fun as the snakes and lizards.
I was really surprised at how many really big critters they have. They have some giant snakes, and they bring them out so you can hold them. I had a huge python draped around my shoulders. It was so damn heavy. Like 150 pounds. But very awesome.

Very nice pics Subbie! I especially like the aquatic creatures (those sharks ). I’m a fan of lizards and turtles too, but I get a little weirded out by snakes, lol

Very nice images! There was a time I enjoyed visiting zoos and "aquarium houses" (and museums and art museums). Were there any of note nearby, I might still be tempted. Then again, I might now be too deeply entrenched in my reclusivity.

Oh my goodness, I could spend the day there.
Capybara action shot!
Really Big Tortoise is my favorite. I’m told that my first love was a Galapagos tortoise, and my second love was a grouper. I presently have a different grouper love and huge tortoise love that I go visit.
Wow, that leopard shark is pretty.
Oh my gosh, Gojira! Look at that gorgeous thick tail!
Man I haven't visited the OKC Zoo in ages. I used to love going there, watching the dolphin shows, getting those plastic animal molds from the machines...good times.
