Name : Indor Varyon
Race : Dunmer (half ashlander)
Class : Somewhere between a rouge, pilgrim and scout
Age : 37
Sex : Male
Appearance : Very lean with particularly dark red eyes and black hair in a ridge which adds to his already notable height. He is immensely fit and looks it. Wears cheap clothes, a travel stained cloak and sometimes a thin leather cuirass and heavier bracers. His torso and upper arms are covered in Ashlander tattoos.
Equipment : He travels light and will bodge or borrow most things. He carries a reasonably mortar and pestle, a very thin leather cuirass which doesn't impede movement but offers only slight protection and a heavier pair of bracers which he only wears when he expects trouble (which tends to follow him). He has a cheap bow and a couple of darts which he uses to deliver poison. His only valuable possession is a staff with a healing enchantment which is powerful but has unpleasant side effects. Currently he has a couple of Ayleid stones which he is studying.
He is largely unable to do magic but can manage a tiny fireball which is only useful for arson and lighting candles.
Personality : He is driven by the thirst for learning but as soon as he understands something it will bore him and he'll move on. He is friendly enough as he meets a lot of people in his travels though he hates warriors, particularly the less intelligent ones and even more so orcs. He has a flagrant disregard for rules though won't cause needless harm or damage.
Brief History : He was born to a Redoran noble and an Ashlander merchant who left before he was born. His maternal grandfather saw that he was educated but he prove inept and fighting and, though very intelligent, unable to cast any but the most simple spells, though he is a good alchemist and has wide knowledge. He was groomed for commerce but with the oblivion crisis and his mother's marriage to another noble he became unwelcome and left to seek his fortune.
In Vvardenfell he got involved in deadra worship and his wide knowledge allowed the cult to delve deeply into the secrets of summoning. After a disaster, for which he was largely to blame and also the sole survivor, he forsook that life and swore never to summon again.
He continued his wanderings studying many subjects and becoming known among the Ashlanders where both his knowledge of alchemy and heritage made him welcome and where he became skilled in unarmed combat. A little over a year ago he came across a strange artefact of the Ayleids and went to Cyrodiil to study them. There he witnessed the destruction of the Imperial City and has since been involved in the rebuilding whole carrying out his studies of the Ayleids and the silhouette's spell.
He still sponges off House Redoran occasionally and helps them where he can though his loyalties are very much split.
Other Relevant info : He knows much of summoning daedra on a permanent basis but such rituals are complex, dangerous and take time. Once summoned controlling them could become a problem. He also swore never to do it again. (For this think Hutleen's Hut in Morrowind as opposed to what the PC does). Otherwise he is largely unable to do other magic. His knowledge is considerable though of varied usefulness. He will never fight fair, instead he uses his intelligence and knowledge of poisons to gain an advantage - or his speed to run away.
