History of a Reaver:
*

Lugrub gro Bokshn

*
'I've walked for miles inside this pit of danger.
I've swallowed down a thousand years of Anger.
The weight of the world is falling on my shoulders.
A place that no one follows me, I walk alone!'
-Saliva, I Walk Alone.

"Run, me boy, RUN!" those were the last words of little Lugrub's father before he met his end by a large Warhammer headed for his skull. Blood sprayed once the hit connected, painting the little Orsimer's face with the red substance. Lugrub was never the one to disobey his father, let alone when an urgent matter is at hand. Quickly turning on his heels, the child sprinted, without looking back at his family's burning caravan nor at his dead mother. The only thing on his mind is running away and telling his father's friend 'Awamus Philiwa' about the 'scawy banwits' that attacked his family on the Green Road, just a dozen miles away from Bravil.

One of the bandits saw the running child and, quickly alerting the others, ran after him. The orc turned around and his eyes widened in terror, so much so that he failed to notice a band of Legionnaires charging at the bandits. Lugrub was pushed aside harshly by an Argonian, and hit his head on a rock. Seeing red dots on his vision, the last thing his eyes laid upon was a silver-armored Imperial walking to him with a forlorn face.

"You have the power and will to be One of Us, young one. You have tasted the bitter flavour of Anger, Sadness and Anguish. If you can bend them into your power, consider yourself my Vessel...of...Destruction or maybe even a Daedric God.." a demonic voice whispered in Lugrub's ear, while the area surrounding him becoming blurred, with the sky becoming crimson red. The temperature became hot, to the point little Lugrub's shirt dripped with sweat. The scene in front of him chilled his bones and soul. But it was replaced by curiosity and confusion.

There, standing atop on a black mountain was red-skinned giant, wearing a very heavy Armor while raising his War Axe in triumph. Tilting his head, little Lugrub shouted out loud;

"Mister! Who a' you? A' you z'a clown who per'fom mag'ickal 'ricks?"

The giant faced the source of the voice, and upon seeing the little Orsimer, threw his War-Axe just inches away from Lugrub's little feet. The child yelped in bewilderment and backed away from the Demon. His sudden curiosity disappeared and Fear took hold of him again. Burying his head in his hands, Lugrub started to cry. As the tears fell from his little eyes, the Demon appeared where the Axe was, and kneeled before little Lugrub. Putting a gigantic hand on Lugrub's lean shoulders, he said;

"Do not fear me, young orc. For I was once like you. Blissfull, oblivious and curious. But the lies of the damned Aedra are too big. It was...too much to take. They are nothing but frauds, deceivers! But that would change soon enough. FOR THE DOOMDRUMS ARE BEATING...AGAIN! THE TRUE CREATOR WILL PURGE THE UNWORTHY, AND ONLY THE CHOSEN SHALL SURVIVE! LUGRUB THE TERRIBLE WILL CARRY THE WILL OF LORKHAN!"

--*--

The little orc awoke screaming, waking up the young Captain of the Guard, Adamus Phillida and the other Legionnaires. Standing upon hearing the wailling orc, the Imperial rushed over to Lugrub and hugged him tightly, hoping to calm the already emotional broken child. 'Learning a hard lesson on a young age. Poor kid.' the cries of Lugrub for his parents almost brought a tear on Adamus' eyes. He could even swear on his grandfather's grave that the other men are also crying. Even the Legion has a heart too.

"Ma'a! Pa'a! W'ere you? Me scar'd!" this a brought up another muffled sob under Adamus' shirt. The other Legionnaires couldn't really resist the urge to cry with Lugrub. One by one, they fell to their knees and covered their faces with one hand.

'Over-dramatic bastards. Probably doing that act so I can raise their salary. Those Brotherhood scum can wait. For now, I have a Demon to raise in Hell's Hand Legion." little did Adamus know, he would soon be refering that particular term for Lugrub.

"Luggrie," Adamus called Lugrub by his nickname, earning a sad and hopeless face looking up to him, "I need you to be strong. Those scary bandits are going to be executed today. But what matters is that you need to be the Strong Orc that your...late father wanted you to be. Ugol handed me this letter, in case anything happened to him or your mother, that says you are going to be recruited into the Legion. He also gave a document concerning a heirloom, yours to be correct. It is an axe called 'Despair Pleaser'. I'll gonna get it tommorow, we'll never know if you're strong enough to even carry it." he winked at Lugrub, in brotherly way.

That certainly calmed and shocked Lugrub. His crying stopped, and smiled at Adamus which the Imperial returned with a fatherly hug.

"Go get some rest. Your training begins the day after tommorow. Oh, and Lugrub, welcome to the Legion." The Imperial saluted at the little orc and exited the barracks followed by the lower-ranked Legionnaires and headed for Jensine's.

END OF PART 1.

Hey, folks. I see that the Forums have rather filled with new members from the 'other' forum since I last left. Anyway, I didn't return here to tell a life-story or whatever. I came to finish Lugrub's past that I planned long ago. ALL of my stories are intertwined to say the least. And writing that childish dialogue is something I don't want to repeat again.

So yeah, constructive criticism, funny one-liners etc are welcome.

For those who played Morrowind and completed it,( everyone did, right?) I got a suprise for all of you. Some old 'friends' are returning for those who took their time with the Legion and Fighter's Guild in Morrowind! Bwahahahaha! devilsmile.gif

Born in Hell, Raised in Hell, Died Fighting in Hell:

'We do not know Fear,
For We are Fear's Children.
We do not know Death,
for we are the Angels that help Him.
We strike Terror and Chaos
upon the Battlefield,
for WE ARE HELL'S HAND!'

-Hell's Hand motto; Upon the Fields of Battle.

---*---

"Me Lugrub, Lugrub gro...Bokshn." the shy child introduced himself to a group of teenagers sitting on a wooden bench, some with the same age like Lugrub. One Redguard, sitting away from the rest of the group smiled at Lugrub. His face is like any Redguard's. Wiry-haired, dark-skinned and an outstanding physique, he is perhaps a young Legionnaire in his late twenties. Twin orcs appeared out of nowhere and tackled Lugrub to the ground, laughing while sitting on top of Lugrub.

"'ou be da 'ew recruit, yah? I'm Mug and dis be Lugrub. We be da Ogdum twins!"

"..Me called Lugrub, too."

"I'm Raig, but just call me Ray. I welcome you to Hell's Hand Headquarters! But I usually call it Triple H!" the armor clad Redguard introduced himself, while he pointed at the magnificent buildings surrounding them, with the roofs colored red.

The buildings was made with metal, with a touch of bricks here and there. Banners made of scarlet silk hanged loosely on the void-colored windows above them.

Lugrub responded by taking out his hand, a friendly gesture. The smile on Raig's grew wider and shaked Lugrub's out-stretched hand, like they were brothers who have not seen each other in decades. A cough erupted and both of the men turned at the source of the sound.

A young female Nord, with blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, stood with her hands crossed. She is flanked with girls the same age as she, maybe like Lugrub. Bfeore the Nord can say something, the duo introduced theirselves. Ervona Barys, a dunmer girl politely shaked Lugrub's hand. A breton by the the name of Cienne Ashwood copied her Elven counterpart and introduced herself with a peck on the cheek.

"Always the polite and flirty ones. Pass 'im over to me so I can introduce myself!" Raig laughed at the blushing Cienne, and gestured Lugrub to the pouting Nord. Lugrub nodded and with final glance at Raig, made his to the young woman.

"...'ice to meet you, me Lugrub."

"Nice to meet you too, Lugrub. I'm Imsin." she said softly to him. A young hyperactive Redguard, ran up to Lugrub and hugged him tightly. She couldn't be no more than eight years old.

"I'm Shardie! I'm not 'he 'ew rec'ruit 'nymore!" it took a few seconds for Lugrub to register what the young girl said. With an 'Aah', he hugged her back, albeit with cautiousness. Shardie practically squeeled, and jumped around. She even danced a jig. Imsin and the girls giggled, while a rather young breton walked over and calmed Shardie. He is somewhere within ten or thirteen years of age.

"Sorry about that, friend. She always get excited when someone joins Hell's Hand. Oh, where are my manners? I'm Frostien, Frostien Ephine." he smiled, revealing a set of gleaming white teeth. Lugrub returned the favor and gave him one of his 'killer smiles'. Fortunately, Frostien turned the other way around when Lugrub did this.

"'all me Lugrub."

"So, now that you know our names, I think it's time to tell you our age." the Breton said while Imsin snorted, earning her a glare from said Breton.

"Ahh, Imsin. She's thirteen like myself. Ervona, Cienne and the Ogdum twins have seen ten winters. Raig over there is twenty three. Shardie is nine. Oh, how about you?"

"Me twelve." the conversation between the two never stopped, to the point that Shardie fell asleep. Taking this as the sign that it was getting late, Raig gently laid the sleeping Redguard on his shoulder and gestured the others to follow. They entered a rather large building, and went upstairs. Unsuprisingly, this was the Dorm for the young recruits in training.

"Goodnight everyone, I'll see you tommorow. Oh and Lugrub, not you Ogdum," he said, while dismissing the other Lugrub. " Captain Phillida is waiting downstairs. Come back when you are done, ok?" Lugrub nodded and descended with an excited heart.
