What do you think about the claims of the Mayan Calender predicting that there is an impending doomsday on Dec.21st 2012. Personally I think it's all just a bunch of non-sense just like Y2K was, but I am just wondering about other opinions and what not.

I agree with everyone who has said the 2012 thing is a load of crap.
Personally, I believe that the mayans figured that if they even lived that long, they'd just make another calendar! This is just the 2000 thing all over again! A message from the sky coulda appeared 1 hour ago, saying the world will end in the 1400s! And then when we saw it, what would we have done, run around screamin our heads off cuz the end of the world happened 600 years ago? I think not. Also, it's quite possible that whatever evidence that the people cooked up is false, they coulda just been hoping for this reaction,(or rather, the one that we on this forum aren't having) so that all the bazionares buy into their life boat things!
