Here we have all the power and mystery that is so befitting of Sethyas- on the one hand, a statement of stark fact- Seth and Serene engaging in their on-again-off-again affair. On the other hand- still no definitive explanation of what Athyn told him during that "drink." Your ability to intrigue and engage the reader has not waned during your time away.
