As has been true throughout- the heart in this new story is what holds me spellbound. The descriptions of Seth and of Duke Dren, both learning to live with their grief.... Seth's musing on what his immortality might mean...

There is the truth, than there are the truths that we live with day to day. The former must not overcome the latter, as there is no need.

No comment of mine could improve those words.

This...Solstheim, this would be my new Vvardenfell. The beginning of my new life.

And, like other readers, I wonder what form Seth's retirement from the Morag Tong will take.

And hanging over it all is the secret- a secret so grave that he cannot even tell the Duke.
