Saga: That's a fair point, and is definitely valid if you're getting a console for the first time and are unsure of what to choose from, but if you already have a Playstation and you're doing this for not just one game, but merely an item of DLC, it becomes a lot harder to justify. Plus that's still a fair amount of cash, in any case.
You don't have to pay for a version of Xbox Live that allows you to download DLC and expansions, either. You just get the Silver membership for that, which is completely free. I usually do that, and then now and again (ie. once or twice a year) get Gold membership for when I feel the urge to shoot up bear man dem on Halo.
