Another plot hole was when luke was talking to leia asking if she remembered their mother, an leia responded she always seemed sad. The way it was done, Leia was referring to real memories, not visions, and if they were visions they would have amde that clear.
Also, darth vader was the chosen one. balance to the force does not mean destruction of the dark-side, it means balance. In the end of his life, the force was balanced. Only one guy, not encessarily good nor evil, with little knowledge of the philosophy of the force, knew how to wield it, and started a new school.
