I voted "never", since there isn't a quicksave feature on consoles for Oblivion. Not that I know of anyways.
This must be a PC thing, huh?
.... There is a quicksave for Skyrim's Kinect on Xbox (you literally say "quicksave" and the game does this within 3 seconds) but there isn't one for Oblivion. I quicksave quite often in Skyrim, and make more permanent saves at moments that seem epic. And if I somehow forget to do this, I have no one to blame but myself.
While we're on the subject of saving, let me ask: when do you guys & gals choose to save? Is there an exact moment? .. for some reason, I often make Oblivion saves if my character's in the middle of doing something; like opening a gate, a door, or casting a spell. This way, later on if I load my game up, I'll get to see this door opening or closing, or a spell being cast, or my character on horseback, jumping in mid-air, or something equally as cool.
