Renee, I'm excited to hear about your plans with the PC!
Yeah, I don't use a leveling mod either. Since Buffy only has 19 levels to get things right, we ignore several attributes (endurance, strength, luck. . . ) and focus on what's important to her (agility, intelligence, willpower). Speed has turned out to be unimportant (illusion + horse = no need to run) - and with her tiny size, even a speed of 100 would not allow her to outrun many foes. Buffy (being Buffy) insists on raising personality for RP purposes. So sometimes we helped things along when we needed a +5 and sometimes (to Buffy's chagrin) unhelped by reducing an attribute gain or two that the system forced on us (gotta increase 3 attributes every level, but nothing says you can't turn right around and 'undo' the increase).
I don't use survival mods either. I know what you mean about doing that stuff, but I guess we've been playing so long that it all comes naturally. Buffy eats like a bird - not much, but frequently and she drinks lots of water too. Providing food/water for her mare is always a major concern (she knows every water source on the map and we RP that every bandit camp is built on a natural spring). She really needs that 8 or so hours of beauty sleep each night. And she changes attire as often as necessary to be dressed for the clime and conditions. Oh, and bathing and all that stuff of course. Fortunately, in Buffy's world, elves only . . . come into heat twice a year so that is only an occasional consideration that we make arrangements for. Heck, she once wrote half an episode on the details of brushing her teeth! Anyway, she never lets us forget about that stuff so we've never found mods to 'enforce' those things to be necessary. In truth, I really don't want her in the middle of a fight and have a message come up that 'You are feeling cold / hungry / stinky / thirsty / whatever.' Lol.
