I realize this has been done to death in several other forums, but I was reading one on SyriaSays.com and just felt like doing one more. Besides, for you authors with 47+ pages already, this can give us cool synopsis of them!
You can use the questions I used as a template, or create your own. Be dramatic, silly, whatever. Let's just be creative!
-------------------------------------------------------------------- I decided to flesh this part out a bit more! EDIT: 8/5/11
Character: Sethyas Velas Genre/Setting: Morrowind, Nerevarine MQ/Walkthrough
PLEASE GIVE US A QUICK INTRODUCTION? Certainly, I am Sethyas Velas, a Dunmer by birth, raised in the Imperial Province of Cyrodiil. I am an Assassin by trade, though more of a Adventurer by vocation. After my arrest and subsequent 'release' to the Island of Vvardenfell, I began and completed my destiny as the Nerevarine.
YOU'RE AN ASSASSIN? Heh, one of many titles that could be placed upon me. It was more of a metamorphosis of roles throughout my life I suppose. As a youth, I worked on a vineyard in the Monastery where I was raised. This gave me a bit of knowledge of alchemical processes. Later I learned a little bit of illusion magics. Much later, on Vvardenfel, I became a capable Thief within the Guild, as well as earning a bit more of proper pay and fighting skills within the Fighters Guild. Due too politics and an...incident...that included both Guilds and my role in solving the problem, I more or less retired from both, with competent heads leading both now.
Not too long after the retirement, I joined with the Morag Tong for my...potential. I quickly adapted too, and eventually became Grandmaster of the Guild. The Alchemy gave me a proper knowledge of poisons, the illusion advantage is obvious, nighteye, invisibility and the like. Plus being a fair hand with a bow, and very decent knack with blades, long and short, my talents were applied very well.
However, while I do trade blood for gold within the confines of the Guild, I do not take life at a request of any individual with coin, I am not that type of Assassin. That would be the Dark Brotherhood.
As of late, I much less involved in such affairs, and more or less oversee the whole operation, whilst leaving the day to day to my lieutenants. I have many pokers in the fire, so that is one aspect, one thing that makes me easy to define. I also am the Landlord of Bal Isra, a as of late small but thriving settlement due northwest of Ald-Ruhn, where the Redoran Council resides, of which I am also a member.
As I said, I have many pokers in the fire, so to call me Assassin, is one of many things I could be called.
HOW DID YOU FIRST MEET YOUR WRITER? Hmm, that's an interesting question. I suppose we met about five or six years ago in the Census and Excise Office of Seyda Neen on his XBox. I was to be a Mash-up between a warrior and assassin, based on Helseth who resided at Velas Manor in Mournhold. I ended up with the manor's surname, and a variation on HelSETH.
Since than we've just taken the Assassin class and ran with it, originally he was just a powergamer, but than he started really getting into the story, and I fit perfectly in his mind.
DID YOU EVER THINK THAT YOUR LIFE WOULD END UP BEING IN A BOOK? Honestly, no! I don't think he did either. When he started writing, he had about fifteen characters to choose from, most don't even exist anymore. I think he chose me as I was his 'primary' character, and most personally developed in his head. I am honored in retrospect.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SCENES IN YOUR BOOK: ACTION, DIALOGUE, ROMANCE? Hmmm. It's hard to say. I admit I ironically shy from conflict, despite having more than my fair share of it. In the stories I'm portrayed between being sinister and a stalwart friend, but I do enjoy a good conversation, so I suppose it would be conversation. I also appear to be unlucky in love and a talented killer, so I suppose I do have a bad reputation outside looking in, despite my genuine good nature.
YOU HAVE A GENUINE GOOD NATURE? WHAT MAKES YOU SAY THAT? I treat others as I would have them treat me. I have never spoken ill to another, unless it was called upon. I expect no less from others than what I am willing to do.
That includes duty. Yes, it is my duty to take life at times. What makes a mage that has no regard for life, that is capable of ending one with a flick of a finger and a fireball, or a Soldier facing his enemy bravely on the battlefield and being the victor, any different than I? Opinions. Perspectives. Merely thus.
I will say that any kills I have had to do, I attempt to make as quickly and painless as possible. I do not relish suffering, indeed, I loathe it. Even enemies deserve a clean death. There has been exceptions, of course. But these weren't mere enemies, these were....nemeses.
DID YOU HAVE A HARD TIME CONVINCING YOUR AUTHOR TO WRITE ANY PARTICULAR SCENES FOR YOU? Actually, I don't have too. We have a mutual respect, he lets me be who I am in spite of sometimes by knack for going off script sometimes, he says I've actually surprised him a couple of times. But I think thats the secret of any good relationship, accepting and respecting who the person is, not trying to change them too what you want them to be.
For that reason, I don't like his 'retcon' a couple of years ago, when he essentially tried to make me "Altair" from "Assassin's Creed." I'm still embarrassed. I existed prior to that games release, and was just fine as was. Despite the similarities in our characters, I am not Altair.
DO YOU INFILTRATE YOUR AUTHORS DREAMS? No, we each have our time and space in which to exist, even a yearlong pause on his part is merely an instant to me.
ARE YOU CURRENTLY ENGAGED IN A RELATIONSHIP? Hmmm. Not 'currently,' no. Though he tells me there is something cooking up in my future. I've been widowed and just had a bad breakup with a girlfriend however. I also have a Daedra Seducer companion, but there is nothing physical or emotional about our partnership, though it is the cause of a few raised eyebrows. One woman in particular...
ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THE GENRE YOUR WRITER HAS PLACED YOU IN? Indeed. I would be alien in anything else. He says if I existed in real life, I'd likely be a Special Operations Commando in Belize.
WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN A SEQUEL IF YOUR WRITER IS SO INCLINED? I've already been in one, with a third in the works. Provided another author hurries herself up with her story! But I am more or less happy with the progress that has been made so far, he doesn't like his earliest works in comparison to now as it's been a learning experience for both of us.
IF YOU COULD GIVE YOURSELF A SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE? I think the powers which I already possess are adequate. I can make myself invisible, use 'Command' to influence weak-minded individuals for a short time, and in theory will never die from age or disease. Supposedly I am quite intelligent, according to my author, and have a inborn talent for my trade.

Character: Vera Castius. Genre/Setting: Cyrodiil, Skyrim, pre- Nerevarine and Oblivion Crisis.
PLEASE GIVE US A QUICK INTRODUCTION? We have to start somewhere. My name is Vera Castius, raised in the Imperial Province of Cyrodiil, born in nobility and into a cursed bloodline of lycanthropes. I am a bounty hunter and mercenary by trade, a huntress by lifestyle. I was orphaned at seventeen, lost my entire family to tragedy. All at different times. I can't cook for [censored], I don't like kids much. They smell. I make lots of money because I'm damned good at what I do, and what I do isn't very nice.
YOU'RE A LYCANTHROPE? You can say that. I'm a werewolf, to be specific. The last living member of my bloodline in Nirn. I never drank werewolf blood, never turned through an infection and never did any insane rituals. I just turned one night in my family's ancient crypt right after my old man just dropped the facts on my shoulder that I was a dormant werewolf after I started to think I was going insane. You know, I think I might be insane. Probably even more since I first changed. But the fact was only few members of my bloodline have the condition.
HOW DID THAT GO? YOUR FIRST TURN? Hmm. Great. I spent the first few minutes having a heart-attack while my skin broke, my bones shifted within my body all the while I was turning into a giant, black lupine animal. That's before I lost all sense and killed my step-mother, her unborn child, and a few neighboring villagers before waking up naked inside of a log and taken away to the Imperial City Prison after being caught.
HOW DID YOU FIRST MEET YOUR WRITER? Hmm, you know I think I met him in Bloodmoon. I was created with the intent of a vicious, insane and cynical lycanthropic warrior female, with a background based on Lawrence Talbot. I went through a few personality changes over the years; from a completely sarcastic loon to a moody woman to a loving sister to a sister-loving sarcastic moody loon. He won't admit it, but I think I am based on the girl he first ended up having a relationship with. At least my appearance.
DID YOU EVER THINK THAT YOUR LIFE WOULD END UP BEING IN A BOOK? Sure did. I kick ass, how in Oblivion couldn't he put me in a book? Sure, warrior women who fight bare-handed, run naked and have that violent spirit in them are done to death. But I can do all these things because, well, I have the strength of three men, I have a complex personality, I'm not the most beautiful woman in Cyrodiil, I probably have more flaws than any other person. So, he can kiss my ass if he decides I'm too cliché.
YOU ARE INSANE! YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL!
You think so? You should've seen me after my sister died. My teeth became black and yellow. I had bags under my eyes because of the lack of sleep. My nails grew long. I only bathed to wash the stench off. I didn't give a skeever's ass about my appearance. Half the time I was armored in my ebony gear from head to toe, and no one knew how I looked like. I guess I started to be a bit more self-conscious when I met a man I liked. What woman wouldn't be more attentive to her physical flaws?
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SCENES IN YOUR BOOK: ACTION, DIALOGUE, ROMANCE? Depends on the story. A mixture of action and dialogue is best for me. Since my house burned down and my family all died, I don't think I ever had the time to get involved in any romance. Duty comes first. Don't tell my grandfather, though. It would only piss him off since I'm the last member of the a family that's been blessed by Hircine for centuries. If I die, everything would be undone. I suppose romance is necessary if I want to mother a child that shares my blood, right? Did I mention I was seventeen when he shoved all that crap down my throat?
Action? I like it too much. I've never been one completely shy away from action. When I was a child my mother told me I had such a fire. I was always kicking cats, making bugs fight or throwing my sister's dolls off the balcony. Praxedes was the quiet one. She loved to read, sing songs and play by the garden. I grew up learning how to shoot a bow with my grandfather and learning some hand to hand combat while in the Fighter's Guild. You can say I'm going to die fighting. It's been me my whole life. But sometimes, we have to have a balance you know.
NOT MANY PEOPLE LIKE YOU FROM WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD. WHAT MAKES YOU HATED AND LOVED I don't have many friends. I always believed If I ever made friends, they would die or if they found out my secret, they would kill me or end up sending someone to do it. With my profession I couldn't afford to make friends. If its business, then sure, I'll make allies. I'll do the job if they pay me well. I keep it polite and professional. Now, if some random person tries to get information out of its "Good day, good bye and get lost."
People tend to think I'm rude and harsh. I think I am in many ways. But its either that or kill the people you get befriend. With my condition, no one is safe you know. I thought it is better to kill someone you don't know than someone who loves and likes you. Harsh, but its the truth. People hate me for my lack of remorse, my cold attitude and all that. My male counterpart is the same, but he's far more noble and likeable. He started off his life wanting to do as much good to his family as possible, and in the end after he's taken so many lives he sought to make up for it. As much as he claims he hates the world and all its hypocrisy of being good, he's probably done more good deeds than I have. In fact, many of his friends call him a hero. Yes, he has friends. I don't. But then ask him: How many of his friends are still alive? He's probably grateful his family didn't die like mine did. I admit I am a bit jealous. But I wouldn't be the woman I am now if it weren't for what happened.
Anyways, they want to hate a woman? They could hate on Raven Meridius. Her brother pays well, but that woman has four-centuries of innocent blood in her hands that was deliberate and for her notion of greater good. Yeah, you all remember that Akaviri invasion where the empire's legions all died in foreign lands? I wonder who inspired the emperor himself to go there with all those men and women to die. I also wonder who was given all the power of the throne after the emperor failed in his invasion. I'm Dibella compared to her.
DID YOU HAVE A HARD TIME CONVINCING YOUR AUTHOR TO WRITE ANY PARTICULAR SCENES FOR YOU? Some scenes where I may be bit too harsh and some I may be a bit too nice. I once told him that I wouldn't do anything this horrible. I lived with people, I laugh, I cry. I'm not all doom and gloom. I risked my life to save a child from a werewolf(who I didn't know was my grandfather at the time). I told him that deep, down inside I have some qualities that are beneficial to those around me. And by beneficial I don't mean them being a pile of bloody bones in a forest ditch somewhere. There was one scene where I thing I ate my unborn step-sibling but I told him this wouldn't go down so nicely in paper or online. You know, because many people have qualms about such things. While he has absolutely no issues whatsoever with writing it, he knows many people do. So he respects that.
I live in a world full of necromancers, wars, daedric creatures, witches and wizards and rituals and swords and betrayal and chaos. Even farmers who try to hide away from the world somehow has problems knocking on their door. There were many things I didn't want him writing for me, but he doesn't glamorize or sugar-coats the truth about Tamriel. It isn't called The Arena for nothing.
DO YOU INFILTRATE YOUR AUTHORS DREAMS? I don't think I ever did. I hope to one day.
ARE YOU CURRENTLY ENGAGED IN A RELATIONSHIP? Hmmm. With my grandfather telling me to have sex and further the bloodline(he's dead, mind you), do you think I could go long being a virgin forever without love? Even people like me need to settle down one day, and retire. Most I've ever remember doing was kissing a man, and a woman when I was in the Fighter's Guild. I was young, curious and stupid. Didn't know what love was until it smacked me.
ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THE GENRE YOUR WRITER HAS PLACED YOU IN? Hell yeah. Why wouldn't I be? I like swords, I like my bows and crossbows and knives. I absolutely adore my lycanthropy. I'd be dead without it.
WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN A SEQUEL IF YOUR WRITER IS SO INCLINED? My story isn't done yet. There are three more chapters left for it to be finished. I will be in a sequel, though not in my story. I will share a story with another character named Lycus. You may know him as Kraven(gods, what a terrible name. His father was a jerk). I believe I will face new challenges and trials, and be a bit more open about my personality. He doesn't tell me, but I think he wants me to fall in love or something.
--------------------
And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed. I long for scenes where man hath never trod A place where woman never smiled or wept There to abide with my Creator, God, And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept, Untroubling and untroubled where I lie The grass below—above the vaulted sky.”
