Fess up, we all know that Homer Simpson is not the only one to misunderstand the lyrics to some popular songs. biggrin.gif

For years I thought that Our Lips Are Sealed was I'll Live To See You. It was only after the dj's on a radio station were going through a list of top 100 songs made by Rolling Stone, or Spin, or one of those music magazines, that they mentioned the song, and I realized what it really was! Doh!

There are other times I cannot tell the words, so I just supply my own. Going way back to when I was little, I always loved Elton John's - Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting. There was always one part I never understood: "Don't give us none of your aggravation, we had it with your something-something starting with the letter 'D'" So I just supplied: "we had it with your Death Star plan". I knew it was wrong, but so what, I liked my version anyway. Eventually I figured out the word I was missing was 'discipline' - a Freudian Slip for certain! - but I still like it my way better. wink.gif

So what are some of your misunderstood lyrics? Come on admit it!
