Okay, I know we have been down this topic before. But this is a new Persephone, so I think it is time for a new topic, as well as a new outfit.

Persephone has become sort of my old standby character for Skyrim. Usually I play a character, and when their story is done, it's done, and I move on and never play them again. But she is different. Perhaps because she is undead, I just cannot lay her to rest. I keep going back to her, and every time, she is a little different in outlook and attitude.

First off, before I ever played her, Persephone fought for freedom with Alessia's army. When Persephone first rose from the grave, she still wore the armor that had been supplied to her by Alessia's Nordic allies.

But when finally began to come out of her dead shell, and tried to remember what it was like to be alive, she experimented a bit. She finally settled on white. She always wore the cloak and hood while around the living, in order to conceal her undeadness.

But after embarking upon an epic quest that crossed Skyrim to end the tyranny of the vampire lord Harkon, she came out of the coffin as well. A new dawn has risen upon Persephone, and she no longer hides her nature from others. So she has done away with cloak and hood.

I am thinking perhaps just as she shed her Ancient Nord Armor for her Eisen Platte White, this new phase in her life would be a good time to once again shed her former gear, and emerge in an entirely new outfit. This brings the eternal question though. What to wear?

I spent a while trying on vanilla outfits, and a few modded ones that I have, and came down to three contenders.

From left to right, White retexture of Stalhrim/White Nightingale/Silverlight Armor (mailed version)

They all have pluses and minuses in my mood. I like the Stahlrim, especially because I am thinking of finally taking Persephone to Solstheim. But it is all too bundled up looking. As a living dead girl Persephone does not need furs or lots of clothing to keep warm. It does not get colder than the chill of the grave after all.

The Nightingale is an old standby, and the white version suits Persephone's character. She cannot go with any other color, except perhaps silver. And the leather looks nice and comfortable. But it is also still a bit too "I'm Batman".

Finally the Silverlight always puts me a little off in Skyrim because it looks so weird and exotic. But the fact is, Persephone is weird and exotic. More than that, she is a Champion of Light, and this armor proudly proclaims that to all.

One reason I started this topic was not just for opinions on these three. I am going to start looking at other modded armor and clothing. But there are what, over a thousand mods like that on the Nexus? So if anyone can give me a few shortcuts to a few contenders that would be great. It does not have to be armor at all. Persephone does not need armor. She just needs something to wear. The only caveat are that it has be either predominately white, grey, or silver. She is a Champion of Light, and it needs to show in her outfit.

I am also going to be looking at a new hairstyle for her as well. I am thinking maybe one of the longer hairs. But I will see what grabs me.

Glad to see you continuing to breathe (un)life into Persephone!

Of the options you have presented, I'd go with the white stalhrim for sure - it simply looks great on her. She may be undead and not need the fur but, by the same token, the fur will not hurt her nor will it overheat her for the same reason. She literally can bundle up as much or little as she likes.

The nightingale gives too much of an 'A' shape to her figure - not flattering. The silverlight armor itself looks okay, but the helmet is too space age for me and the 40 pound high heeled boots would dissuade me from it as well.

As far as other possibilities. I look in other directions than where Persephone normally would I expect, but I did try a mod that might have something for her - Opulent Outfits - Mage Robes of Winterhold v4 . I tried the mod and it is solid and very high quality. I rejected it ultimately because all the mage robes we've found (vanilla and modded) are too 'bulky' for Buffy since they don't respond to the weight slider. (And she simply adores Triss anyway.) The robes are also very posh - almost too clean, bright and fancy for Skyrim. The thinking I figure is that they should be - mages are posh parchment princesses after all. Anyway. . . the robes come in different flavors - tons of options since each level (novice, apprentice, etc) has a unique look & color for each casting school. Turns out that the expert and master robes of restoration use a white base and look very good. If you check the last page of the modder's screenshots you can get a feel for what all the possibilities look like. Anyway, the expert and master resto robes look like they might be of interest to Persephone.
