Though I shudder to think of firearms in Tamriel, this is very creative and you have some neat ideas that fit in nicely to the future Nirn that you imagine.
Hmm, DB 1 / Ambassador 0.

It’s so far into Nirn’s future that it might as well be a fan fic spinoff of TES, so firearms should be considered as more of a character’s personal preference if they want to use them or not. Melee, archery, and magicka are still valid (even preferable, in some situations).

Steampunk Scrolls? Now that is an interesting idea. But to take your idea to its fullest, I would humbly suggest that rather than Tamrielites rediscovering the lost secrets of Dwemer technology, the Dwemer themselves return to put it to despotic use. After all, know one knows what really happened to them. They just disappeared when their giant robot god turned on. They could reappear at any moment.
Right?! Khajiit can not for the life of him understand why people are so opposed to this idea! You mention it over at the Bethesda forums (old and new) and everybody acts like you just said the sky is actually the ground. As you say, no one knows what happened to them and Beth could bring them back whenever they wanted. This idea came about when Khajiit pondered, “What would happen if one of the multitude of Dwemer scholars figured out how to replicate Dwemer technology?”, so the idea of the Dwemer returning didn’t really cross this one’s mind. Khajiit must say that he likes the idea of the Dwemer returning and subjugating the other races of Tamriel creating a new Dwemeri Empire. Thank you for the suggestion!
