Games That You Wish Existed Options

A month or so ago, I quipped in The Everything Thread about a basic type of game I would like to see become real. After thinking about it every so often (and constantly forgetting about it), I figured: Why not make a thread for that kind of thing? Surely everyone has all sorts of ideas in that regard.

The game could be a totally new IP that doesn't exist yet. Or it could be an existing IP you love but you want to see something done differently with it (even if it would be a completely different genre and just a spin-off). Things of that sort.

I'll start, and I'm going to go with my favorite series, The Elder Scrolls. First, I wish Bethesda would make the canceled Elder Scrolls Adventures games Eye of Argonia and Paradise Sugar. They were the sequels to Redguard. Eye of Argonia was supposed to have Cyrus again as the protagonist, I believe, which I would absolutely have been down for.

But more than that, I'd really love a TES fighting game. I rarely play games in that genre, but if there was one for TES I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I'd have to think about how I'd like to see the gameplay, etc. turn about, but it would be rad to have a roster of characters from across the series all in one game and fight each other. I believe Injustice and Marvel vs. Capcom have the characters say unique dialogue to each other before they fight, and I think that would be awesome to hear in a TES fighter as well.

Another game that I want would be a worldwide Fallout. Of course, that would be impossible, so for a more realistic wish I want a Fallout set in Florida. The whole state, but that's still a pipe dream at this point. I'm a bit biased since it is my state, but it would be so cool. It's actually quite a varied state environmentally instead of just swamps and palm trees, unlike what a lot of people outside of the state (and even native Floridians!) stereotype it as. I'm interested in that Fallout 4 mod that is set in Miami and in development, but I want more than that.

First of all, if any of you are aware of the Florida Man memes, Florida Man can be a fantastic random event even in the post-apocalypse. What it could be I'm not sure, but you got to have Florida Man in a game set in the state. To satisfactorily encompass Florida, the game world would have to be far bigger than any that Bethesda has ever done. I might be the only one who would care about Fallout: Florida, but here's a preliminary list of things off the top of my head that I want to see:

Cities/Towns: Tampa, Tallahassee (the capital of Florida), Orlando, Pensacola, Gainesville, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Jacksonville, Daytona, St. Augustine, Key West, Melbourne, Fort Myers, Key Largo, St. Petersburg, Fernandina Beach, Boca Raton, Port St. Lucie

Environmental areas: The Everglades (by the Eight, think of all the irradiated enemies that could come out of that!), Daytona Beach, Tampa Bay, Lake Okeechobee, the Keys, Ocala National Forest, Silver Springs, Apalachicola National Forest, St. Johns River, Marquesas Keys, Dry Tortugas

Other points of interest: All of the major universities in the state, Raymond James Stadium, the State Capitol Building, Cape Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center, Fort Zachary Taylor, Southernmost Point of the Continental U.S. (that's an actual monument, but it's much, much smaller than other monuments you might think of), Fort Jefferson, Walt Disney World

Random Events: Florida Man, radiation hurricanes, bad Vertibird pilots (since Florida has so many awful drivers, and I can't think of a better analog) that crash

Enemies (besides some of the usual suspects: Feral Ghouls with Hawaiian shirts on, irradiated alligators and crocodiles, ibises and egrets that mutated similarly to Deathclaws, a whole bunch of other creatures out of the Everglades

Factions: This is one I'd have to give some extra thought to, but I at least think it wouldn't make any sense to have the Brotherhood of Steel there. They'd feel shoehorned in. There definitely needs to be some Florida-themed factions though. Maybe even a faction similar to the NCR that is trying to create a nation out of the southeastern U.S.


Oh, the possibilities!

Geez, I have to be careful that I don't build this up so much in my head that I get disappointed that it doesn't exist. And it almost certainly won't ever exist. *sigh*
