With more discussion about us PvPing, I've created this separate thread for such discussion. Anyone that's interested in it can talk about it here. Tips, outings, questions, grievances, praises, etc., talk about it here! Or, in the case of Cyrodiil and Imperial City, we can still talk about how to do some of the side content while contending with roaming gank squads and such here as well.

I'm no expert on this stuff, but for anyone who is interested in learning more about it I can teach you some of the ropes about it since I have a decent amount of experience with it.

I sometimes forget to screenshot my Battlegrounds outings which is quite unfortunate, but here is a highlight: The comeback from the other day

Had a cool encounter with an enemy player yesterday.

Went back to Cyrodiil with Cincy yesterday to get the last bit of experience toward getting the highest tier of gear reward*** for the Kalgrontiid campaign. But I also had a quick quest to turn in when I reached Vlastarus, which was unfortunately under Dominion control. I couldn't sneak to the Altmer NPC I needed to talk to as I was attacked almost immediately by the Dominion Honor Guard at the central flag in town. Fortunately, no players came around, so I turned in the quest.

Then I figured I would try to take the flags in town to claim it for the Pact and get the highest reward tier for the campaign. I successfully captured the central flag. As I was capturing the outlier flag, though, I noticed the compass icon for the central flag was being taken back by the Dominion, meaning there was at least one other player nearby. So I crouched down to see if I could stay out of sight, but I guess the other player had an ability or potion to detect hidden players, so he attacked me. Naturally, he was CP810.

After I died and respawned, he whispered to me "gf lol" as in "good fight." I thought he was possibly being sarcastic at first but didn't respond like I thought he was. Turned out he actually meant it. He was impressed and commended me for staying alive as long as I did and said I was a tough fight. We chatted a little bit through whispering, but we wished each other luck. Cool dude. Too bad he fought for the Dominion. tongue.gif

*** = In Cyrodiil campaigns, you choose one of the available options for a campaign and select it as your "home" campaign. As you capture and defend keeps, resources, outposts, etc. and fight for your Alliance, there is a bar that shows you what tier of reward you will get at the end of the campaign, similar-looking to an experience bar. There are tiers 0, 1, 2, and 3, and the higher you go, the more and better-quality gear and gold you get at the end of the campaign. This is also affected by the final score of your Alliance at the end of the campaign, so the reward will be affected based on whether your Alliance was 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.

In other news, I really HATE how Battlegrounds can fairly easily start with less than the maximum number of people. Each team can have up to 4 players, but often in my recent outings I have had only 3 players while one or both of the other teams get 4. That's infuriating as it is almost a guaranteed loss. And I have only had one time where that 4th spot was filled during a match (which, SURPRISE, actually led to our eventual victory). The other day I decided to jump into a Deathmatch and my team was only 3, another team was only 3, and the other opposing team was 4. Guess who won?

Zenimax really needs to fix this issue. You should not start a match with uneven teams, and if it isn't the maximum number of competitors in a match then they should still be evenly distributed.

(Also, there is only one time where I was the beneficiary of a lopsided match, and that victory felt rather hollow--especially because BOTH of the other teams were short on players and one of the teams had just 2! So I don't complain just because it goes against me.)
