Alright, I'm a movie buff. I'm a history buff first, a book buff second, and a movie buff third. I love good movies. Here's my list of my 7 favorite movies. These, in my opinion, are the best movies every made, and some are controversial, but like most hard-core movie buffs, my taste in movies are alternative.

7) Batman Begins

Really great lines, and some very fine actors. It was the best look at my second favorite comic-book hero, and after they screwed up Constatine I was very relieved. The philosophy of Batman felt so relatable that I ate it up.

6) American Beauty

Wonderfully done. Even the inexperienced actors gave knock-down performances. It all felt so real, so gritty and yet really wasn't. Not only that, but the idea of being able to see the world's beauty after you find something spectacular touched down. That monologue was excellent.

5) Once Upon a time in Mexico

The fourth installment of the series of El Mariachi, Desperado and Desperado 2. This is the only one I really liked, and it wasn't that great. Hundreds of movies beat it, I just loved the feel so much.

4) Shawshank Redemption

Everybody knows it.

3) Donnie Darko

Easily third. It's disappointing because in the US it was advertized as a Slasher, and it wasn't at all. It was about growing up in a way, with a few other themes mixed in, loved it.

2) Scarface

Al Pacino is a master. The story was nothing special, the rise and fall of an American gangster, but Pacino's acting is so good, and his lines were so excellent.

1) Crash

Best movie I've ever seen. Can't even describe it, you just have to see it.

Point of this topic is to list your favorite movies. It's been done in Coffee shop once, but that was a long time ago.

Ooh, ooh! Me like Balto, too! biggrin.gif But only Balto 1. (My sisters like Balto 3, but I'm not totally fond of it, but I have to live in the same house as them, soooo I have to live with that movie in the house...) That's not dorky, Aki! I think it suits you, being a wolf-man and all. wink.gif

Besides, I'm dorky because I (and my entire family) love many of the older Disney movies (Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, etc). My personal fav of them would be Little Mermaid, if I were to choose a 'princess' one.

Hmm... Favorite movies... I have too many favorites, actually. Most of them are animated. Now that's dorky! tongue.gif

Let's see... My top fav. movies of all time would be:
1) Disney's Little Mermaid
Do I even have to explain why I like this one?

2) 20th Century Fox's "Anastasia" animated film
Because it has wonderful songs, nice animation, and lots of feelings... It just feels memorable..

3) Alien (the movie) and Predator (that Arnold movie)
Because they are some of the few alien movies that I actually liked and are not cheesy.

4) Er, any Pixar movie. Especially Toy Story 2 and Monster's Inc.
Because they are heart-warming and memorable to me. And, they have bits of humor to them, too. Besides, I love the Tour Guide Barbie and Sully and Boo.

5) Any other Disney movie (ex: Beauty and Beast, Aladdin, etc).
Memorable songs and cool scenes.

Yeah, they made three. Next thing you know, Balto is going mainstream. 3-D adventure movies, Balto FPS, Balto RTS, Balto clothing, heck, even Balto padlocks.

Aaaiiiiieiee wacko.gif

So, what was the plot of the third one? I didn't think they could actually manage to weasel out another movie after how 2 ended.

Wait, how did Balto two end again? Did he die in a helicopter crash or something?
