Although we are relatively close to release, and several magazines are now coming out with Oblivion cover stories, there are several things we still want to know sooner rather than later.

Additionally, printed publications tend to have information which was received a month or two prior to it arriving in mailboxes and newsstands. And, magazines are mostly about showcasing the game to generate interest, rather than supply information to those who are already eating up everything they can get their hands on. tongue.gif

Therefore, I propose that we gather questions of a common theme and submit a Q&A. What better way to find out what we want to know?

And what do we want to know? Well, I want to know modding-related questions. The modding capabilities are one of the biggest things that will set Oblivion apart from other RPGs. And with all the general information that's been posted by the devs over the last year, a focused Q&A on this subject seems most likely to catch a developer's eye. smile.gif

So, without any further trying to sell you on the idea... to the question gathering!

The big question on everyone's mind:

Will the Xbox360 version of the game be able to run mods created by players using the Construction Set on the PC version? (The developers have indicated several times that they have been looking with Microsoft at ways to do this, but have not yet given a final answer. They will hopefully know for certain by now: they have the final dev kits and it's probably too late to add it in now if it's not there already, so it seems like a good time to ask.)

-(If yes): How will this be accomplished? Will they be shared over Xbox Live, or copied over USB/network like music files?

Will the clothing and armor use alpha-mapped overlays (like much of the newer Better Bodies clothing for Morrowind), or mesh replacement (like regular Morrowind clothing and armor)?

Will the Construction Set have a procedural "interior" generator in addition to the procedural forest and terrain generator?
