Maybe this should be under the what you hate most thread, but maybe others would like to vent separately on this as well.. I have never watched much television.. most tv shows arent worth the time. Recently I have started to watch it a bit more since some really good sci-fi shows have premiered. Have television commercials increased so much while I was away? Back in the 80's (when I actually watched tv) an hour television show was 45-50 minutes with 10-15 minutes of commercials. Now I can barely stand to watch a really good show because its only 30-35 minutes long with 25-30 minutes of commercials. I was watching that show Supernatural the other night and at the bottom of the hour they had a 5 minute commercial break followed by 4 minutes of show before breaking for another 5 minute commercial. OMG!! Its getting ridiculous. How can they tell if a show is good or not, because quite frankly even if I really like the show I will wait for it to come out on DVD now because there are just too many interruptions when it is shown originally. And another thing... Did anyone else see last nights Threshold? Throughout the show the main sponsor was the Chevy Impala. Did anyone else see the impala symbol plastered on the tile inside the restaurant DURING the show? This is nuts! I think I will go back to buying the DVD shows that are interesting or maybe get TIVO. I don't have the time to sit and watch 30 mins of worthless commercials each hour.

actually the other night i watched the television priemere of LOTR The Two Towers, it wasnt really the commercials that bothered me, rather the stupid banner that kept popping up at the bottom of the screen...
