Rann and Syke Viann, Research Space Station, in orbit around Mars

Rann stood by his workbench, creating some unkown object that might make it to the coveted spot in his 'used' pile, meaning that someday, he just may find a use for the invention. But more than likely, this, as over half of his other creations, will go into the scrap pile to be made into something else.

"What are you doing?" Syke asked Rann, coming to a halt beside his younger brother. He picked up a black metal object and inspected it. "What is this?"

Rann slapped his broter's hand without looking up from his work. "No touching!" he scolded, accepting the object back from Syke and putting it back down; still not looking up.

"What are you making?" Syke asked again, more insistently.

"Nothing." Rann answered as he put on a proctective mask, not to protect his eyes, because they couldn't be hurt, but just his face in general. He began welding two pieces of the black metal together, drowning out any conversation for the next minute or two.

Syke was getting extremely frustrated with his brother. "What are you making?" he asked through gritted teeth.

"It's for the ship." he answered, holding up the finished product. It was black and sleek, obviously to match the metal interior of the engine room of their ship.

"What does it do?" he asked. The object had a series of pipes protruding from a box, which had a pump inside. He scratched his head, utterly confused.

"Look." Rann said, pointing to the pipe on the top. "Here is where our engine coolant is going to go; because it leaks anyway. Anyways, it goes down through this box, where it's pumped back out into the main hold where it belongs."

"Why didn't you just patch the leak?"

Rann blinked a few times; Syke couldn't tell if he was turning on the record option or the zoom. "Because that isn't as fun, and it wouldn't allow us to do this." he replied, pointing to a smaller pipe that Syke hadn't noticed before. He turned a valve on the end and smiled. "It will also make the coolant drinkable; I put in a series of filters and lined the inside with some toxin-neutralizing chemicals."

"That's useless." Syke said with a scowl.

"We'll see how useless it is when we get stuck in space with no water." Rann answered as he pushed by his brother with the invention in hand; all that was left was installation.

Syke sighed and followed.

When the installation was complete, and Rann had a sip of coolant, they went into the Research Area to look for their sister.

Wes Hansek
Neptunian balck Market

Wes Hansek stepped into Grubbah's Hall accompanied by Legg and Chev. The Crimelord's guards accompanied them in.

"Pirate, why couldn't you deal with one of the traders?" Grubbuh asked.

"Don't play me like a fool Grub, you had them hamster cave plotted out, you knew about my compassion," Wes Hansek said.

"I should have to killed for suggesting I alter the market, they charge you what your merchandise is worth," Grubbuh said.

"Yes hamster off. You think I'm going to sit here and buy that compassion? Don't hamster cave blow your fart in my face like that. You knew I wouldn't pay those prices. Not only that, you expected me. I can tell because you have your hamster cave girls in the backroom so I won't take hostages. You hamster cave cleaned this room, too. Yeah, yeah don't think I didn't know."

"You insolent kid. You don't know how anything works do you? People like you don't last in this market."

"Yeah well I plan to change this hamster cave market and kill you someday. Maybe the fact that I didn't kiss your boat concerns you. Yeah Grub? I'll tell you what, we're cutting the great compassion out of this right now. I want 380b for it, you got that? Upfront."

Grubbuh chuckled. "I wouldn't pay you a tenth."

"Then you ain't getting the Bacteria, Good day," Wes Hansek turned to leave.

"I always like to handle these things peacefully at first, but kids like you don't listen, and that's why we don't see many like you," Grubbuh laughed.

"You have the Mine?" Wes whispered to Chev as they walked out.

"Yeah," Cjev answered.

"Close the door behind us, plant it on the inside of the handle. Give it thirty seconds."

They left the Black Market and headed to their docks. The ourposely picked a spot closest to the gate. Wes Hansek picked up his Communicator. "Lebbon, start up the engines, Marx, heat up the missiles. We may have to leave a few presents."

Seconds later he heard a large bang from the Hall find him, and the three of them started to run. Persuers ran through the door after them, shooting. The ducked and weaved through parked vessels, scrambling into their ship.
