Rann and Syke Viann, Research Space Station, in orbit around Mars

Rann stood by his workbench, creating some unkown object that might make it to the coveted spot in his 'used' pile, meaning that someday, he just may find a use for the invention. But more than likely, this, as over half of his other creations, will go into the scrap pile to be made into something else.

"What are you doing?" Syke asked Rann, coming to a halt beside his younger brother. He picked up a black metal object and inspected it. "What is this?"

Rann slapped his broter's hand without looking up from his work. "No touching!" he scolded, accepting the object back from Syke and putting it back down; still not looking up.

"What are you making?" Syke asked again, more insistently.

"Nothing." Rann answered as he put on a proctective mask, not to protect his eyes, because they couldn't be hurt, but just his face in general. He began welding two pieces of the black metal together, drowning out any conversation for the next minute or two.

Syke was getting extremely frustrated with his brother. "What are you making?" he asked through gritted teeth.

"It's for the ship." he answered, holding up the finished product. It was black and sleek, obviously to match the metal interior of the engine room of their ship.

"What does it do?" he asked. The object had a series of pipes protruding from a box, which had a pump inside. He scratched his head, utterly confused.

"Look." Rann said, pointing to the pipe on the top. "Here is where our engine coolant is going to go; because it leaks anyway. Anyways, it goes down through this box, where it's pumped back out into the main hold where it belongs."

"Why didn't you just patch the leak?"

Rann blinked a few times; Syke couldn't tell if he was turning on the record option or the zoom. "Because that isn't as fun, and it wouldn't allow us to do this." he replied, pointing to a smaller pipe that Syke hadn't noticed before. He turned a valve on the end and smiled. "It will also make the coolant drinkable; I put in a series of filters and lined the inside with some toxin-neutralizing chemicals."

"That's useless." Syke said with a scowl.

"We'll see how useless it is when we get stuck in space with no water." Rann answered as he pushed by his brother with the invention in hand; all that was left was installation.

Syke sighed and followed.

When the installation was complete, and Rann had a sip of coolant, they went into the Research Area to look for their sister.

Kratos settled the butt of the latest experimental rifle against his shoulder. He took aim at the target and fired. The recoil was huge, tossing him back a few feet despite his cybernetic leg. No way in hell can anyone possibly use that on a battlefield the way it is now". As he spoke, he tossed the rifle towards the young man, who fumbled but managed to catch it before it hit the ground. Kratos settled the butt of the latest experimental rifle against his shoulder. He took aim at the target and fired. The recoil was huge, tossing him back a few feet despite his cybernetic leg. Veda turned if his microphone, just a little chip actually placed over the ears to the soldiers that could make them communicate, even over long distance. After turning it off, he went up to meet his friend.

"Hi mate" Veda said as he came up to Kratos, "I can say that some of these new weapons are just wicked, but could need some work alright" Veda added as he gave a look over to the other soldiers in TAG training with the Shock Rifle.

"Looks like we could need some new weapons, just got off with the 3-HDS Leader outside Pluto. They had a small defense cruiser on the borderline to the Rykar, and it has been under fire. It's has landed on the 3-HDS Docks, but now no one can manage to get any contact with the crew or people on 3-HDS. And the live-video communcation showed that it has been taken over by a squad of Rykar, very well trained. I think it most be the one of their Elite squadrons" Veda continued with a serious tone...

"I got orders from the Major General in the Outline Encounter for the Human Defense that we need to take control of 3-HDS and hold it for 48 hours. The tactical officers have already said that within 48 hours they will have soldiers, engineers etc. landing on Pluto, all we have to do is hold it..." Veda added. He went to the wall taking down his SoRAR³² and taking one of the Shock Rifles strapping it on his back...

The men was summoned everyone to the Assault Briefing room. It was not far from the hanger where the ships were armed for the assault. Veda stood in the middle of the room along with Kratos.

"Okey, it's been a while since we've been out now. But this very serious, this could be first move by the Rykar... So this is how we are going to do it" Veda said with a serious tone before he focused more on the 3D model displaced in the middle of the room in the air.

"We will have two groups, Delta and Juliet. We will start with me and Kratos going in with the Raptor making a perimeter infront of the enterance to the building. You others will follow in before we storm the building. After we have made it through the first quarter of the building we part in two, sending one small group to take over the Defense- and Communication Center. While the rest of you along with me and Kratos will make our way through the rest of the building against the hangar and control room..." Veda said with powerful sharp voice, getting clear with everyone in the room.

"Weapons. You will get the SoHAR² Heavy Assault Rifle and the SoHG Magnum Revolver, including five DbG Granades. 'Key' and 'Jester' you two will be our engineers today and be in Juliet going for the Defense- and Communication Center along with the SoLSM Sub Machine Gun along with the technical tools you will need..." Veda continued before loading his weapon. He went up to the hangar gate and nearly punched his fist on the large button opening the gates where two TAG Assault Crafts where and Veda's Raptor where Kratos could join him as 2nd Pilot and Weapon Operative.

"Wanna join me?" Veda said with a grin to Kratos before nodding to the left over at the Raptor.

"Very little actually. I've tried to get in contact with my sister but no use so far. Have worked hard building up TAG for the last years..." Veda said as he started up the engines and checked the control panel ready for taking off taking lead of the TAG Assault Crafts...

Veda lowered his head for a little moment after all was clear.

"I... I got some contact with my sister a few months ago, she was going to visit me while I was on the Cybernetic's Research Center orbiting around the Moon. She had been studing very close to the border to the Rykar Empire and as I got ready to meet her I heard that a Rykar Destroyer had engaged on their ship. Didn't hear anything more... Fear the worst..." Veda said with a low voice, before shaking his head violiently. He knew this wasn't the condition he could be in while facing the Rykar.

"Here we go..." Veda said before lifting the Raptor up and flying fast and acrobaticly out of the Hanger before setting in the curse against Io. The TAG Assault Crafts holding their distance but following.

"We'll be there soon" Veda said as he looked down at the panel, the instrument showing his route and location, "I'm pretty sure that the Rykar will be inside the Defense Quarters, but if I'm wrong you know what to do. I've done some modifing on the 'Scythe' and changed the bullets on it" Veda continued, he was sure that the Rykar was smart enough to stick their butts inside the quarters but if they would have any defense or soldiers outside Kratos, as the weapon operative use the 'Scythe' as it was called...
