Well, something in the Parliament that Doomed said made me want to start this thread.. so here is goes.

What are your goals for the future? Not really what will your career be, but what you want to do in your life.

I for one, after I make it into the USAFA (hopefully), I plan to help my parents run their business, sorta like a partnership. I also am planning (and already doing) to invest my money into different things, such as, but not limited, the Stock Market.

When I make Lt. Col. (again hopefull) I'll probably want to retire out of the Air Force and thats when I plan to go back to good ol' Nashville, NC and try to assert myself into the local government. However, I will be making trips to Africa now and then because in my mind there is one step needed to build great things. And that is simply, education. I'd like to help as much as a westerner could in Africa and help those that are willing to help them build their nation freely.

If I'm not old and dead by then, I want to start delving my hand deeper into politics and eventually becoming a senator, and possibly govener of NC. (Who knows whats beyond that biggrin.gif)

Several Major Things I'd Like to Accomplish:
Study in Saudia Arabia
Traverse the Carpathians
Pick up at least two majors (History & MSS)
Go hunting in Siberia
Walk the entirity of NC (from east to west)
Work hard to improve my Canadian-Nick relations
Become fluent in Arabic, German, and possibly Spanish
Sail from Cali to Japan
(Not so far future) Go to a Flogging Molly Concert
Befriend a Russian
Visit the Dead Sea and eat fish cool.gif
Go deep sea fishing with Butt (That one of my buddies (thats his nickname) He always talks about going fishing, but I've never been with him)
Study a bit in Spain
Help those in need
Help my father start a computer store
Stop drinking soda for a year
Go visit a few of my friends in Cali
Find a beach and live like a bum for a while
Help design a video game
Have at least one child
Go to church in Italy
Go to a soccer game (anywhere but here in the US)
Go drink a pint in Ireland smile.gif
Visit my friend OptimusPrime in New Zealand
Make at least five more friends before I graduate
Build a house
Go sky diving in France
Sleep for 24 hours straight (Not sure if its possible)
Drive from NC to Cali
Visit my brother when he's over seas
See my dog live past when I graduate college
Help establish a town
Find one of my highschool friends after I've lost touch with them
Smile more
Be prosperous
Take care of my parents when they get old
Tell my younger brother that no matter how much I detest him sometimes, I still love him
Mess with one of the guards in England
Honor those that have given their life for any great cause
Visit Jerusalem
Help someone write a book
Write a book about my life
Have a very pretty woman feed me grapes as a lay on a couch
Stay fit and well during my life
Live to 111 so that I can see the turn of the century (again)
Take my grandchildren across the world
Eat in Vienna
Pretend to be a cowboy one day
Learn how to dance
Live with an Arabic Family for six months
Watch the ocean from the shores of Greece
Eat New York Style pizza, in New York
Go tour Europe with my best friend
Find very pretty European girls
Visit Japan and their schools
Go play paintball with my Dad
Buy a nice car
Play four years of varsity soccer
Go to the hotsprings in Budapest (?)
Help pioneer the effort into space

And thats just a sample from my list.. I plan on expanding it and trying to accomplish ALL the goals. Both long term and short.

Since I was mentioned I feel obligated, so I'll tell you, hopefully it won't be annoying or I'll have to give my real name.

I want to be an investigative journalist, and try and track down injustice and reveal the hidden injustice being committed, raise awareness of the world outside the United States, and keep it in their face so they can't keep ignoring the problems.

I'll write a book after I get fired, and write some fiction books, factual books, whatever I feel like writing. I want to use this money to get me to be able to travel a lot and write about my experiences for people. I want to go all over the world and talk to every different culture. I read this about INFPs once and thought, "yeah that's me" when it said we don't stand for chit chat, we like talking about real, honest things that most people bury inside, but I'm much more interested in other people than myself, and other cultures than my own.

I want to visit hunter gathering societies and live with different ones, practicing in the ways they do, living as them for a great deal of time. I want to follow in the foot steps of Ghandi and MLKJr, and non-violently stand up for the rights of human beings all over the world, organizing unions, bringing to light the different bribes and transactions done by rich scum all over the world, bringing more power to the poorest of people, stopping the United States and China from being two giant hegemons that just leech off of everybody else, and inspiring countries to turn more toward self sufficiency.

So, here the list:
-Spend at least 4 months with at least 6 different hunter gatherer societies
-Have a conversation with an Australian native (the kind that still live off the land, not the ones crowding out the urban sectors, read Mutant Message: Down Under to learn about them)
-Meet a beautiful, intelligent girl that understands me
-Figure out the purpose of the Universe
-Meet a couple of gorgeous, experimental lesbians
-Share a joint with a US police officer
-Encounter a moment in time where I do something incredibly heroic and stand up for what I believe in even when threatened by dominating opposition, and succeed.
-See the ruins in Indonesia
-See the Earth from Space
-Unconver a giant scandal in Congress
-Write a world renowned book on philosophy
-Deliver another eulogy
-Talk someone out of a suicide
-Talk someone out of killing someone who killed a member of their family
-Stop a battle from taking place
-Befriend the leader of a rebel faction against the US
-Become a respected figure of great influence within the US (and the world)
-Die the way I lived
