FOr the backgrounds it depends... These vampire pictures I did use models for the buildings and did all the lighting myself. Usually if the picture I want is going to need a a specific lighting look or needs a deep perspective shot, like the first couple here, then I will need to do the whole picture (models, lighting) myself.
Sometimes though I take the easy way out and just render something over a jpeg picture someone else had made and is giving away for free. If you look at the Bosmer mage one I just made in the first oblivion character thread. The background there was done completely by someone else. I just need to light the character then to match the lighting they used. |
