In Morrowind the system was loose enough that you could be a triomnipotent sneak-bash-burn phenomenon and no one would bat an eye. Hybrids were in vogue. But it looks as if Oblvion'll be much harsher in the class department. Pick your majors with parsimony, scum!
OK then. I elect develop a more cohesive chracter this time around (by which I mean he won't be a complete hodgepodge of skills and attributes). But I refuse to conform to a generic style: viva la resistance! I'll bill as a former Legionnaire, competent in swordsmanship, who got sticky fingers last year and was thrown into the slammer for taking a bribe. Go justice. In any case, this aforementioned Imperial immediately dives into the underground after escape, completely ignoring his sacred duty, and develops the thief-craft of a god. But soon (*dramatic drumroll*) he's inexoribly drawn to the main quest. He learns better the way of the sword. He never wears armor. Ever.
So we've got an Imperial man with a combat speciality, but whose main skills include Sneak and Unarmored. Pretty random, huh?
