what if your in the stands and your guy/girl knows a fireball spell or something on target. Could you cast it at the guy you want to loose????

I'd be willing to bet that there's an invisible 'globe' around the arena fighting grounds that prevents external objects (spells, rocks, arrows, or crazy people that lost a lot of money on a bet due to the death of an arena participant that they were betting on, etc.) from entering.
