Level Cap, Oblivion Options

If this has already been up here before, oh well i cant find it so i'm asking

Anyone know the level cap for Oblivion? i mean i know the level cap for Morrowind was 200, but damned near impossable to reach that, i'm only lvl 73 in Morrowind, and all my major and minor skills are at 100, and i don't know how to go beyond that lol .

Anyone know?

Oblivion doesn't let you have minor skills it only lets you have major skills and miscellaneous skills (with major skills being the only category of skills that contributes to your overall level) there are only 7 major skills.

Major skills start at a set level which depends upon the bonuses that your constellation gives you & also depends upon the bonuses of the race that you choose to become. i think that the lowest a major skill can be when you start out is ten, so i think that the maximum level would be 63 (if you chose a constellation and race that didn't give bonuses to any of your major skills and all your major skills started at ten). but if Oblivion starts your skills out at 0 the max level would be 70.

Conclusion: it just depends upon which race and constellation you choose. the level cap can vary from 50-63
