If this has already been up here before, oh well i cant find it so i'm asking

Anyone know the level cap for Oblivion? i mean i know the level cap for Morrowind was 200, but damned near impossable to reach that, i'm only lvl 73 in Morrowind, and all my major and minor skills are at 100, and i don't know how to go beyond that lol .

Anyone know?

Actually, I don't think you can say any level amount at all just yet. Now that I am thinking about it, does anyone really know how many skill increases you need to attain a new level in Oblivion? I would be slightly surprised if it is still ten b/c they said they made it a LOT harder to raise you skills now. The reason provided for this was that they wanted them to have more significance b/c of the new skill perks for adv./master/expert levels. The way is was put was like this.... "By the time you reach the end of the main quest you ... have one or two skills at (max, aka 100)" -recent interview with a video of screenshots from the game. Not sure who the speaker was, but it was definitly a dev. So...yea..... SO exact level and skill speculations are slightly less meaningful than they were before, maybe.

I think I heard in an interview it's still 10 major skills increased to level.
They do keep assuring us it's the same basic system as Morrowind so I'm pretty certain.

Also, I believe Skill Perks are at level 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100. So if it's in your Majors, you're bound to start with one perk, which would make sense since you're generally more skilled in techniques than someone who has never even used it.

I think that is almost right, except I heard that the skill perks are at levels 25, 50, 75, and 100. This makes sence because if each skill perk is different for every certain level that gets you a bonus for every different skill, they would have to make a bunch of special perks.

Novice - 0
Apprentice - 25
Journeyman - 50
Master - 75
Grandmaster - 100

Makes sense...
