I have been planning on doing a mod for Oblivon since before it came out. Currently, my computer is not powerful enough to run the game, so I'm still brainstorming aspects of the mod. The mods story begins as the main games story begins but from a different perspective. I would like to explain it in absolute detail... But here's a summary to pique your interest...

-

The Emporer has been slain by dark forces. In the wake of his death, gates to Oblivion are opening, releasing demons onto the land.

Even worse, various factions vie to take up the empty seat of the Empire for themselves; mercenaries wishing to rule the lands of Tamriel with an iron fist. A confederacy of pirates wishing to plunder the great province of Cyrodiil to finance an unstoppable naval fleet. Rogue sorcerors wishing to acquire all arcane knowladge to bring about a dark age with them as the rulers of it. And finally, vampires wishing to enslave all pureblooded citizens of the Empire as cattle. All sides are hellbent on waging a shadow war against the wounded Empire.

The Ruling Council is unable to deal with all factions closing in from all sides, as the Imperial Legion has suffered a schism in the aftermath of the Emporers' death. An entire nations' future hangs in the balance...

...But as bad as things are, there about to get worse... much worse.

As the shadow war reaches a fever pitch, another, singular force arrives from the icy void of space. An alien predator with one murderous goal: to seek worthy prey...

Hunting season opens in Cyrodiil, this (date N/A)

So, as you can guess, I wish to start my own Predator mod for Oblivion. I just wish to know wheter or not anybody out there can send me any suitible Predator sound effects (growls, roars, weapons, cloaking, etc.). I have frequently tried to contact BeanspanX (the creator of the original Predator mod for Morrowind) through Email but it seems that my messages have been unable to reach him.

Of course, if this is an alternative to aquiring sound effects from the films (I would imagine that the AvP 2 game would be a better source), is the Construction Set for Oblivion powerful enough so I can just make my own Predator sound effects? Like, if I took a daedroth roar, reversed it, slowed it down, or sped it up? Thank you, and I'd be happy to recieve anyones' help.

Thanks for the help. I was in dire need of the ideal graphics cards. I was really unsure of which is the one needed.

This mod is for the Pred fans, no AvP shenanigans will be present. (but I still like to suprise people) I have a lot of things planned for this mod. I have scribbled down a lot of notes in preparation for when I get my hands on the Construction Set. I have had a considerable amount of time to think about what to do for this mod. Since I consider myself a huge Alien/Predator fan, (I know Paul W.S. Anderson said the same thing and let quite a few fans down) I hope to deliver the quintessential Predator experiance. Here are the (almost complete) stats that I have planned out:

Race
Predator

Strengths/Specials
Resistant to flame 60%
Immune to Disease
Resistant to Poison
Natural Armor (Physical damage reduced, when unarmored)
Speed greater then native races
Strength greater then native races

Weaknesses
Weakness to Frost 90%
Weakness to Magic 60%

Predator Armor Types
Note: Armor can be mixed and matched

Legs/Greaves
10%
Arms/Left & Right Gaunlets
10%
Groin/Crotch Guard
30%
Stomach/Stomach Guard
5%
Torso/Chest Guard
40%
Face/Helmet
5%

Ceremonial
Type: Light, Stealth oriented
Description: Decorative style-armor, higher energy output for cloak
Example: Predator 2 Armor

Hunter
Type: Medium, Balance oriented
Description: A more practical style of armor, ideal for both Stealth and Combat
Example: Predator 1 Armor

Clan
Type: Heavy, Combat oriented
Description: Heavy combat armor, reduced energy output for cloak. Best protection ratio
Example: AVP(movie) Armor

Weapons

Dagger/Sword
Type: One-handed Melee
Short & long blade variants

Razor Disk/Sun Blade
Type: Right hand Thrown
Numerous variants
Different types can home in on multiple targets
Draws from different power supply then Plasma Caster and Cloak

Poison Dart*
Type: Projectile Ammo, housed in Left Gauntlet
Limited three (3) darts at any given time
Instant kill against weak and mortal races/characters
No variants
Warning: Use only when necessary

Net*
Type: A razor-wire net that snares enemies, housed in Left Gauntlet
Causes substantial damage over long period of time
Limited five cartridges; more depending on Left Gauntlet quality.

Projectile Spear*
Type: Small dart ideal for stealth kills, housed in Left Gauntlet
Acts similer to bullets
20-40 shots

Plasma Caster
Type: Back-mounted Projectile weapon
Weapon has limited number of shots, recharges over time
Draws from differant power supply then Razor Disk and Cloak
Numerous variants

Wrist Blades
Type: Right-handed Melee
Two and three bladed variants
Standard short, specialty long
Can perform Stealth kills

Spear/Naginata
Type: Melee/Thrown
Collapsible & non-collapsible types
Numerous variants
Weapon can be thrown in combat

Hand to Hand
Type: Unarmed Melee
The Predator deals out moderate damage when unarmed
Can perform Stealth kills

Gadgets

Stealth Camouflage "Cloak"
Energy capacity dependant on armor quality
Draws from separate power reservoir then Plasma Caster
Water fouls up cloaking systems
Recharges over time

Vocal Mimicry
Can distract, intimidate and confuse enemies
Infinite uses

Vision Modes
Thermal Vision: Detects body heat; night-vision
qualities
Technical Scan: Detects weapons and other useful items
Neural Scanner: Detects enemies' mental state
NPCs are given these colors:
Red: Enemy, worthy prey
Yellow: Neutral, possibly threatening
Green: Unworthy, dishonorable prey

Explosive Device
Thrown Weapon
Can be used as mine
Plasma: Detonates a searing blast of heat
Sonic: Emits loud blast of sound to stun enemies
Exsplosive: Typical type, shrapnel damage

Left Gauntlet
Houses Net, Poisen Dart, and Projectile Spear
Ammo capacity for each is dependant on the quality of the Left Gauntlet

Notes & Things to Consider:

The Predator CANNOT use torches, human* weapons or human shields and also CANNOT wear human armor. However, the Predator can put shields, armor, weapons and items that are of high value into the its inventory and can be displayed as trophies. The Predator can wear human jewelry, as an exception. In addition, the Predator has no access to magical items, and cannot learn and use spells.

(*"Human" is a general term for all races that are native to the Elder Scrolls world, Mundus: Orcs, the 3 Elf races, the four Human races, and the Beast Races.)

There are various weapon caches around Cyrodiil, all of varying quality. You have two preset slots in your Weapons inventory, one for ranged (Plasma Caster and
Razor Disk), and another for handheld (Dagger/Sword, Spear/Naginata). You can't have both a Spear and Dagger and a Plasma Caster and Razor Disk at the same
time. If you pick up additional weapons of the same type when adventuring, you are unable to swap out and replace the weapon of the same type. You must return
to your hide out to swap out your weapons. Wrist Blades and Poison Darts and other Left Gauntlet ammo types are unaffected by inventory slots. Certain Predator weapons have no effect on immortal races, such as Daedra and Vampires. There are certain weapons made out of special material that can
be used to counter them.

Also, there are various warriors to test your mettle against. Your Honor ranking is based on the number of honorable prey you have defeated. If you kill worthy prey, you gain experience to level up. If you kill unworthy prey, you will be unable level up, and it decreases your Honor rating; this adversely effects your skills.

Stealth Kills are performed when an enemy in unaware of your presence and you are position right behind him/her/it. Stealth kills can be done either unarmed or using Wrist Blades. The target must be humanoid. Sneaking increases chance of a successful Stealth Kill.

*The Net, Poisen Dart and Projectile Spear cannot be housed in the Left Gauntletat the same time. You have to select one of the three you wish to use on the hunt

Keep in mind that this list of Stats/Rules is subject to change; though I really wish to execute all of this in a reasonable amount of time. Also note that I may alter the above statistics in the future.
