Sirin, Couldn't resist myself Options

Well, I found myself lacking in Mabriel's story.... After I bought Oblivion (which, oddly enough, doesn't want to work for me...) I lost track of her. So here's Sirin.

I sat motionless, staring at the blank, stone wall. This wall is all that separates me from the outside. I didn't blink. I didn't even bother to breathe. Life seemed to stop. Here I had sat, in the Imperial prison, for three weeks. Why? I was a criminal. Prison is where all criminals wound up. Foolish reason.... I had asked myself this question for all of the twenty one days I had sat in my cell. Sure, criminals get locked up, but why am I in here? I suddenly drew in a sharp breath. Memories flooded in my mind's eye. I had been betrayed...

Three weeks ago, I, Sirin Kalimian, was a free Redguard. A free, wealthy Redguard, at that. I had led a dishonest, but profitable lifestyle. I had been involved in smuggling, theft, and other various vices. It was risky, yes, but I was good at it. Was good at it. An Imperial patrol had discovered crates of skooma in some commoner's home. The commoner had made a plea to the Thieve's guild before the patrol raided his house. He had needed the money from skooma badly, and would be killed without it. He was reminded that he would be imprisoned, and ran little risk of being murdered. However, he had claimed that he owed the money to the Dark Brotherhood. That's a serious problem... The guild had sent me to retrieve the skooma while it was en route to Castle Anvil. I HAD retrieved the skooma, but had been ambushed afterwards.

The Imperial fools had used the "commoner" to catch me. The Thieve's guild had even helped them, intentionally sending me to my grave, so to speak. I had been beaten and dragged into the prison. So, here I sat. Before I was aware of what I was doing, I caught myself scrawling on the rough stone wall. "Vengeance" "That's right," I said, "I will have vengeance."

Part 3

I awoke suddenly, but I wasn't sure if I was actually awake. Confusion ran rampant in my mind. I hoped I was dreaming, for this was a nightmare. I felt awake and alert, but I couldn't see a thing. Suddenly, it dawned on me. They moved me. Now, I'm sitting in the lightless, god forsaken place with steel gauntlets weighing me down. I found myself hoping that someday I could move the gauntlets, so I could escape. And have my vengeance! Yes, and have my vengeance.

A sliver of light broke the makeshift peace. It was a heavenly thing, that lone beam. Suddenly, a rusty iron plate interrupted the ray and slid into my cell. Food! As the door slowly creaked shut, taking with it my precious light, I struggle to move to my plate. However, I had as much success as I would have with two boats tied to my weakened hands. Again, despair leaked into my mind.

I laid myself down on the floor and gazed at what I hoped was the ceiling. I would never be able to move again. I would only be able to sit and lay, and hope for death to come quickly. Don't think like that! You'll never make it out of here if you keep whining like this!!! I couldn't help it! I was forever anchored to this lone, cold floor. Besides, what did I have waiting for me on the outside? I had no family. I had no friends. I had no one to help me. The only companionship that awaited me was that of the guards, as they led me back to prison.

You have revenge. I DID have revenge. My body felt light again. Inspiration and hope drove out the despair. You WILL kill them. ALL of them. I twisted my hand, trying to get my fist planted on the ground. The rough steel dug into my flesh, causing me to gasp with pain. I kept fighting though. My only hope was through trials like this. Finally, my steel plated knuckles rested on the concrete floor. I panted for breath for a moment, pushing away the oncoming dizzyness. I repeated the process for my next hand, again beating back the pain.

I was on my hands and knees now, and I had a vague impression of where my meal was. I moved my left knee first, sliding it closer to my hands. Then I tried to move one of the gauntlets. It was a failure, at first. I couldn't slide it an inch. Revenge.... The pig of a guard appeared in my mind. I recalled the invigoration as I tried to strangle him. The gauntlet grated slowly across the stony ground. The other followed. For being so stationary not long ago, I was picking up progress.

Finally, triumphantly, I sank down next to my plate. I dipped my face down to the floor, and only tasted rock. Now this is a challenge... I moved my head to the right, and again met with the floor. To the left, same story. I dragged myself an inch farther though, and, at last, found the plate. I grabbed a piece of meat with my teeth and let it drop into my mouth. I chewed it, gratefully, and laid down face first. I had a satisfied belly and visions of glory. I slept well that night.
