Well, I found myself lacking in Mabriel's story.... After I bought Oblivion (which, oddly enough, doesn't want to work for me...) I lost track of her. So here's Sirin.

I sat motionless, staring at the blank, stone wall. This wall is all that separates me from the outside. I didn't blink. I didn't even bother to breathe. Life seemed to stop. Here I had sat, in the Imperial prison, for three weeks. Why? I was a criminal. Prison is where all criminals wound up. Foolish reason.... I had asked myself this question for all of the twenty one days I had sat in my cell. Sure, criminals get locked up, but why am I in here? I suddenly drew in a sharp breath. Memories flooded in my mind's eye. I had been betrayed...

Three weeks ago, I, Sirin Kalimian, was a free Redguard. A free, wealthy Redguard, at that. I had led a dishonest, but profitable lifestyle. I had been involved in smuggling, theft, and other various vices. It was risky, yes, but I was good at it. Was good at it. An Imperial patrol had discovered crates of skooma in some commoner's home. The commoner had made a plea to the Thieve's guild before the patrol raided his house. He had needed the money from skooma badly, and would be killed without it. He was reminded that he would be imprisoned, and ran little risk of being murdered. However, he had claimed that he owed the money to the Dark Brotherhood. That's a serious problem... The guild had sent me to retrieve the skooma while it was en route to Castle Anvil. I HAD retrieved the skooma, but had been ambushed afterwards.

The Imperial fools had used the "commoner" to catch me. The Thieve's guild had even helped them, intentionally sending me to my grave, so to speak. I had been beaten and dragged into the prison. So, here I sat. Before I was aware of what I was doing, I caught myself scrawling on the rough stone wall. "Vengeance" "That's right," I said, "I will have vengeance."

That's all I got for now. Evening. I love comments!!! biggrin.gif

Update!! Update!!! Have fun, my friends! I will pray that you don't despise this update, but instead will enjoy it. If you do despise it...well, I might go bankrupt... biggrin.gif Part 7

Kerric had led me into a cave, or what appeared to be a cave. Inside, however, I discovered so much more. When we first entered the humid cave, I found myself surrounded by lycanthropy victims. Most were men. All apparently lived in a rough manner, and were entertaining themselves in various ways when we arrived.

"Who's the new meat?" called a shirtless man in the front of the crowd. He wiped blood off of his face as he spoke. He must have been in a fight with another lycan. I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came out. Not even the slightest idea of a sentence formed in my mind.

"First off, he's not one I want you playing with, Jyral," Kerric growled. I was relieved, because I didn't want to play with Jyral. "He'll be staying with me, and I don't want anyone bothering him," he continued. I looked at the man cautiously. Why am I staying with him?

Jyral backed down, but another older looking lycan stepped up in his place. He puffed his chest out as he said, "Now, what's so special about 'im, Kerric? Is he fragile?" He looked around at his friends, and they all burst out with laughter. Cold, mocking laughter.

Kerric shot a look at them all that silenced their mockery of me. "No, he's not fragile. He's just...better than the rest of you scum!" he spat. "I'd start showing some respect; he'll be...supervising you starting tomorrow." The whole lot of them glared at Kerric, and then they turned their stare to me. My heart must have stopped. I'm starting to think the Imperial Prison was better than this...

Kerric led me through the bitter mob into his own personal quarters. He pointed to a small cot against the wall, and said "That's your bed. Hope you aren't expecting anything too fancy, new blood." I sat down on the small bed, burying my head in my hands.

"Why are you doing this, old man?" I questioned. I looked up in time to see Kerric stop what he was doing and stare at me.

"Do what? What am I doing for you?" he asked.

I looked at him carefully, studying his emotions. As a thief, I was good at studying emotions. This man, however, was blank. "You are letting me stay in your room. Away from...them, I might add."

"Make no mistake," Kerric clarified. "I'm not doing much for you. I know what they would put you through if you slept in the same room as them, so I give you a safer place to sleep. As for putting you over those pitiful fools-" he stopped, searching for the words to say. "Well, let's put it simply. I see great things in you, new blood. You're quick, you're strong, and you have gained control over your powers quicker than any of them," he said, pointing toward the den of lycans.

"You quite easily have the potential to lead us all one day," he continued. "That is why I'm doing this." I stared at him in disbelief. Am I that great? He broke the look and walked back into the den.
