hi most of the 360 owners should know that a new update has been released which updates the dashboard and other things most importantly the avatar setting where you can create your own lookalike.

i thought the update was great but i really want to know what you thought of it? smile.gif

I thought it was okay but it's slower and marketplace sucks at the new dashboard.

I don't mind the new update. Didn't think there was anything wrong with the old one, for that matter. But I do find this one loads up faster for me, and while totally pointless, avatars are still kinda cool XD. Installing games to the HDD is pretty sweet too, even the ones that don't really get changed loading times, you still get to play without the sound of the drive spinning... which is really weird at first. But all in all, I've no problems with this new dashboard.

What I mean with slower is signing in takes ages compared to the old one. The marketplace is MUCH slower than the old one. The avatars is kinda lame (looks like nintendo wii's mii) and the dashboard itself looks kinda like the PS3 xmb. But I LOVE installing games on hard drive. Since I have a 120 GB hard drive I can Install all of my games. The 360 is not loud anymore loading times are shorter and NO scratches on the CD's.

I'm loving downloading games to the hard drive, my xbox doesn't sound like I turned a leaf blower on inside of it anymore when I'm playing fable 2 or overclocking on fallout and Oblivion. biggrin.gif

Yeah it is a bit inconvenient but I certainly see why they still require you to have the disc in the console. Otherwise large groups of people could just buy one game and all have it on their consoles.

Leaf blower lol. Yeah it's really loud and ruins the game but installing is awesome.
