So, after hearing much ado about it, I've finally gotten around to watching The Princess Bride. And I have to admit, it's freaking awesome! Anyone else seen it?

Got back from a week long fieldtrip for college today. Spent the week in the southeast of Ireland, studying the rocks. A week of geology and drinking... good times.

My uncle's barn and machinery garage burned completely 2 days ago. Not counting agricultural and other machinery that's beyond repair, barn's roof alone would cost around 2500 euros to rebuild.
We are trying very hard to think positive at this point, but only things that come to mind are "they're lucky to be alive/fire didn't spread to the house". Other than that, I have no idea how are we going to come up with money to repair the building.
Before you ask - there was no insurance. No one here has insurance, most people don't even insure own houses or apartments.

QUOTE(Alexander @ Jan 13 2009, 11:02 PM) Finally. The last page of the new story has been written. I'm very curious to see how Treydog likes it, and then how the rest of you like it. Though knowing me, I think it likely I'll do some mop up work and rewriting before long. Sooo.... Any thoughts on when we may get to read it? *Poke, poke*

So bare with me for a little while longer if you will On another note though, I've finishing the story that will come after this one, and it's.. different to say the least. I hope it will be enjoyable in itself but it's quite different from the previous two. Can't say too much though, wouldn't want to spoil anything

I would blame part of it on all the poetry assignments my CW teacher is giving us in class, but in all honesty that'd be a bad excuse, cause I still read at TESFU and whatnot.

It got warm Tuesday and now... it's 50 degrees colder than yesterday. That's it for how crazy the temperature's been for now.
Anyways... I have been promised a laptop with a stable internet connection for my birthday hooray! My inspiration has randomly come back with a vengeance, so I can update my stories later.
Nice pic Black Hand!

What is this "warm weather" you speak of? Here in Ireland we just get cold and colder, both also come with rain. Good thing I like the cold and don't really mind rain
