Welcome Helena!

I've read parts of the Neveragaine (great play on that word, by the way!), and am looking forward to reading the whole thing from the beginning.

You'll find this place comfortably slow paced but enjoyable and supportive. Thanks for coming over here!

Thanks guys! Well, apparently I can't post a new topic in the Fanfic forum until I've made a few posts in other threads. So I guess I may have to delay it a little.

Just say a few words in the Coffee Shop or one of the fan fiction threads and I think you will be able to start the wonderful story of Ada here. And I am looking forward to it!

Hi everyone.
I'm Count Lauriel, some of you may have seen me wandering the Bethsoft forums, usually babbling nonsense in Oblivion general.

Anyway, I joined here because I feel my fan fiction is at a point where I'll let other people see it (rather than being ashamed of my cat seeing it) and give me criticism on it to help me develop myself as a write.

The basics about me?
I'm an 18 year old metalhead from England. I'm not the coolest person ever, but hey. I drink excessive amounts of tea. I'm currently at college training to be an Outdoor Adventure Sports Instructor.

Umm, I'm not sure what else there is. I'm sure you'll get to know me better through time, should you be that way inclined.

Hi folks, I'm Grits. I followed a trail of crumbs from another forum, and I am enjoying the stories in the Fan Fiction Forum over here. I am one of those people who has a hard time keeping quiet, so here I am!

Some things about me:

I am a female person.

I like to make things, but I seldom want to keep them. I have learned to confine my efforts to food and things that can be safely burned in the fireplace.

I studied biology in college, then I took a job as a marketing director. I left right before the last shred of my soul shriveled up and blew away.

There is a Mr. Grits and two Grits the Youngers. I took a break from work to raise the Youngers, and now they have reached the age where I am asking myself what do I want to be when I grow up part 2, for real this time.

The first video game I ever played was Doom on the PC. Yeah, that was a while ago. The second is Oblivion on the PS3. I tried to play Resident Evil in between somewhere, but I kept screaming and dropping the controller. Plus I got motion sick. It was a debacle.

I have never written fiction before a few weeks ago. I thought if I wrote down some things that were running through my head, they might go away. Or at least shut up and sit down. So far that's not happening.

I'm writing two Oblivion stories now. It's been fun to let the characters out of the game to run around a little. They keep adding stuff to the beginning, though, so it might be some time before anything approaches presentable.

Welcome Grits! I love your Bio, you have a tongue-in-cheek humor that tells me I will love your stories when you post them!

I had a problem with that motion sickness on larger screens too (with certain games). I have to be a certain distance from the screen and had to reformat my controller for less responsiveness on turning side to side to stop it. (I think it defaults at .75 on the axis, and I just kept dropping degrees till I no longer felt ill when I played.)

What I bolded above - QFT - a story bouncing around inside you will hinder your concentration on anything till you start putting it down and getting it out of your system! I can't wait to read it now, I know it will be Awesome!
