King Coin: I modded a shotgun for her that I called Thunder. Basically all I did was reduce the spread dramatically, so that you could shoot things from a distance. I only rarely use the mini nukes, or carry around the Fat Man. But on those rare occasions, it is really fun. It is great for Deathclaw hunting at Old Olney. Acadian: Sadly, there are not too many picnickers in FO3. The radscorpions tend to get them all. There are lots of RAIDers though... I tried an experiment with using the Dart Gun. I could not think of a better character to use one than a child, so fired up the Shojo mod. It was rough at first, but works pretty good with a decent Small Guns and once the weapon quality is up around 60. Bastet takes on the Super Duper Mart

I haven't played FO3 in ages, or Oblivion. Might have to break 'em out of mothballs.

King Coin: I found the Dart Gun was good when you can make sneak attacks with it. But it is not very good when you are in a furball that you were not expecting, like when you step outside and find Talon Company waiting for you. Nor is it very good against high health enemies, like SuperMutant Masters. It crips their legs, but if they have a minigun you are still going to get chewed up quite a bit. So you really need a second weapon like a .44 Magnum or Shotgun for when things go pear-shaped. ThatSkyrimGuy: I still love FO3 and Oblivion. In fact, there are a lot of things about them which I prefer over Skyrim. A good game is a good game, no matter how old it is. I played through the original Tomb Raider a little while ago and had a great time, same with Mechwarrior 2 and MW2: Mercenaries. Acadian: That little dinging sound you hear after people being killed is the game telling you that you just gained experience. If you look in the lower right corner of the screen when you hear it, you will see the XP gain. Its like the drumroll Oblivion makes when a skill goes up. I love those robots! They are hilarious. They take me back to the good old days of Robbie The Robot. I love turning them loose in places like the subways, and watching them get into fights with Super Mutants or other baddies. On guard over Little LamplightThe AntAgonizer spies the Valley of Death - the entrance to Vault 87It is the most radioactive place in all the Fallout games. No human has ever made it through the door alive. This vid shows why. Note the radiation counter in the upper right corner. That hissing sound is me constantly hitting the Rad-Away, which I hot-keyed. It lowers her rad level by over a 100 points a pop. Dot's Radiation Resistance is also maxxed out at 85%. So the 500 rads a second she is taking is only 15% of what is actually there (about 3.6k or so)Still, the AntAgonizer lives on to tackle the other dangers of the Wasteland. In this vid she puts some nuka grenades to good use. Finally, in this vid she gets a visit from a Talon Company hit squad after exiting the Sniper Shack. This post has been edited by SubRosa: Jun 2 2013, 01:43 AM

QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 21 2013, 08:00 PM) mALX: I had a lot of bugs with FONV. I think the animals that were halfway or three-quarters underground was the most common one. Sometimes all I would see of radscorpions were their tails sticking up from the earth, like periscopes. I had the same thing with those radscorpions in rocks - that could sting me with their tail somehow, but not be hit with bullets, lol. QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 21 2013, 08:00 PM) You could see they were really cutting corners with the guild questlines, and trying to make up for it with radiant quests. But the trouble is the way they railroad you down the regular quests. It is like they are jumping on your back screaming "Get it down now!" Taking a break from the main questlines to do radiant quests feels out of character. Then once the regular quests are done, I am left wondering why the ArchMage should be looking for books for the dratted librarian. That's work for an apprentice! I used a mod called Archmage Tolfdir that allows you to make him Archmage at the end of the questline. Though people still call you archmage. You can fix that with these console commands: player.removefromfaction 103372 player.addtofaction 1F259 4 That is one of my greatest bugs about the questlines - tied together and forced = railroaded was the perfect word for it. I wanted to do the radiant quests first, so never delivered that stone tablet to Whiterun (meaning I could never own that house, unfortunately because I love Whiterun). This is a great tip on that mod, I will def use it next time I play. I liked Tofdir as Archmage, did not like getting the title after four quests at all. (and didn't understand why as Archmage it was considered stealing to take the equipment from the library for that Daedric Alter quest). QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 21 2013, 08:00 PM) The Ash Spawn, Dunmer tombs, and so on were from the Dragonborn dlc. It was alright. I did not like the main quest of it. But the island is nice to explore. It does add some nifty new things you can use to create mods with, like a waterwalking effect.
My clear water is from a .ini tweak. Go to your SkyrimPrefs.ini and find this line: bDoDepthOfField = 1 and change the value from 1 to 0. Then start the game and you should have clear water.
Ooh, thank you for that tip! I loved the water in your screens! On that DLC - I really liked the idea of being able to see Vvardenfell and the Red Mountain, the different architecture in Solstheim more than actually getting into the questline - ROFL !!! I haven't gotten it yet, (and maybe I am misunderstanding the plotline), but didn't get why another Dragonborn would be your adversary - wouldn't you be on the same side? Lol. Oh well. I am going to start catching up on your screens (and on Teresa), and am so sorry about getting so far behind again. Can't seem to get ahead this year, every time I catch up life kicks my ass again

Aela picked up this neat lantern in a mine added by Unique Landscapes. This is my favorite Aela, she looks exactly as I picture her in the Oblivion gen. I love this shot! Dot's good night sleep = My Megaton house bed was ALWAYS covered up with the bears! I collected them and that is where they stayed! The desk had all the Lincoln stuff on it, I never sold it. Loved that house, except Mr. Handy was shoved into the spare room and de-programmed, lol. Wow, what kind of gun blows a Super Mutant Brute up like that? Awesome shot! The new Superhero - I LOVED that quest (and that armor)! Awesome shot! The AntAgonizer bellied up to the bar, ROFL! This is SO making me homesick to play Fallout 3! The Giant Ant Queen - another great quest, and I LOVE that shot! How did Dot make friends with the Queen? *** ROFL!!! I get tickled every time I see that Antagonizer costume! Love that shot, has to be up among my favorites! I'm trying to figure out where Top Gun was taken, but regardless I love the shot! (and the play on a movie title) Autograph seeker - You had me laughing for the first time in weeks with this one - I love it, it goes up on my favorites (A) for the dialogue - one of the things I miss so much about Fallout 3 was the humor in it! and ( for the look on the kid's face, ROFL! Lol, "Ant-Tastic!" *** Guardian of the Wasteland - every time I see that helmet I crack up! Loved this shot! That was Big Town? Did it survive the nuking? ROFL !! Great shot! Lol on the headless Super Mutant! I had to reload saves a couple of times on that attack, kept losing people. My idea to mine the bridge didn't work at all, lol. On the Lookout - another great shot, this is making me so homesick to play! *** Ah, the radiated entrance to Vault 87! I died a hundred times before getting that radiation suit at the doorway and managing to get out alive! LOVED that challenge! Had to Hot Key Rad-Away and Rad-X and just keep hitting the thing continuously - I only have Fallout 3 on the 360, so had to stock up on supplies, couldn't just console them in, lol. Must have saved anf reloaded that hundreds of times before getting that radiation suit, lol. Was it worth it? Loot Value 3.75 Fun Value = 375.00 I'm coming back to watch those vids, didn't get to them today. Awesome shots, I have loved this glimpse back into the Wasteland - really perked me up, made me miss playing this game. I may have to dust off that 360 and Fallout 3 game and pull it back out and play some after seeing this. Thank you for sharing these, you def gave me a smile with them <3

ThatSkyrimGuy: Ha! I infected another! It was Mirocu and Eva talking Fallout that gave me the bug to start playing FO3 again. I am glad to have passed it one to another unsuspecting victim fellow gamer! So did you kill the Overseer on the way out, or let him live? My characters have gone each way. Its kind of hard not to cap him when you see him torturing Amata... But she get so upset afterward if you do kill him. Acadian: I think the original radscorpions actually did escape from a secret lab in the Mojave just before the nukes started flying. Or it might have been the molerats. Both are creations of not only massive radiation, but the FEV virus, which is a way of forcing evolution upon the infectee, and never with kind results. Most of the really weird and dangerous creatures in the wasteland are the result of FEV: The Super Mutants, Deathclaws, and so on. I hate those sudden attacks when you move from one cell to another. It really is not fair. You should have some warning when all you are doing is stepping through a door. mALX: I had that same problem with trying to kill the underground scorpions in FONV! They could sting me, but my bullets would just hit the ground instead of them. It drove me nuts. The other thing the scorpions would also do is walk around doing handstands on their front feet, with the rest of their bodies sticking up in the air. Like they were Circe Du Soliel Scorpions. Without giving away too many spoilers of Dragonborn, the baddie is the first Dragonborn, who basically made a deal with a Daedric Prince and went to the dark side. Now he is trying to take over the world, starting with Solstheim. Naturally someone has to stop the guy... That pic of Aela with the lantern is my favorite one of her as well. Like you said, it is exactly as I have always imagined her. That was actually a frag grenade that blew up that Super Mutant Brute! They make the most incredible explosions when you use them in VATS. Its also the only way I can hit anything with a grenade. Top Gun was at Rivet City, just north of the broken bow section. It is right by the Potomac River. There are a bunch of planes that fell off the ship all piled up on the ground there. So I am not the only one to try the front door of Vault 87! I was actually able to try the door, but you cannot open it! I was so bummed because I died a second later. One of these days I am going to take my Ghoul character Medusa there. She isn't harmed by radiation. In fact, it makes her stronger. King Coin: I know, its so weird that your homemade bombs are so much better than the ones the army uses! They army should have been using nuka cola and fireworks instead of all that C-4 and Semtex! I was surprised at how tough those Taloners were too. I expected one headshot apiece would do it. The AntAgonizer can usually put down a Deathclaw with just two shots these days. I guess it is the armor... Vault 87 is the one in the main quest, where you get the GECK. The way they suggest (through Little Lamplight) really is the only way you can do it. The front door is unopenable (which I found out first hand). Plus the rads are so high that most people die in about a third of a second. Playing on the swingsRelaxing at homeThe Experimental MIRV. Oh Yeah! Who's your mommy now! Looks like you don’t quite have enough mini nukes for the MIRV! I used it a few times, but holy cow does it use all the nukes you find. Yao Gai! I forgot those bear mutants. Those things were really dangerous at low levels. Like a smaller version of the Death Claw. The rooms in 87 were interesting to walk through, and more than a little chilling. Turning the Death Claws against the Enclave was always fun. I’m guessing that’s Raven Rock heading to the moon in the back of the last pic?

ThatSkyrimGuy: I use Sari D's Pose Pack, which adds some new poses to the game. There are a few other pose mods, and one that just gives you the codes for all the vanilla game. Acadian: Skyrim inherited a lot of things from FO3. In fact, when I first started playing Skyrim it felt like Fallout with swords, given how much was directly ported. The MIRV is a lot of fun! I wish it was a Venom system! King Coin: Thankfully Anty has been stashing away most of the mini-nukes she has found. So she has enough for two shots of the MIRV. It is definitely impressive! That Yao Gai the merchant had was awesome! I walked with them from the Library along the road back toward Megaton. Its crawling with Raiders, and the Yogi just ran out and ripped them apart as we came near. I think all of the Vaults in FO3 and NV are creepy. The stories of how the people inside were used as experiments is just chilling. That was Raven Rock at the end! I love turning that Deathclaw loose in there. I noticed that it does not go hostile to you, which certainly helps! At first glance, ‘Teamed Up’ looks all the world like a band of TES characters inside a Dwemer ruin! ‘Sisterhood’ – Anty looks so tiny inside that armor! The massive pauldrons remind me of bonemold armor. Liberty Prime is such a cool titanium atronach! And he’s rather a chatty fellow, no? Inside the Jeff Memorial! That Col Autumn sounds like a character from the set of a Dallas TV episode! Well, he did before Anty killed him. I’ve never seen the ‘end’ of FO3 before – very powerful stuff and nicely done. Reminds me of Spock as the Vulcan sacrificed himself in one of the Star Trek movies while logically professing, “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. . . or the one.” Captured in this 30 second vid clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xa6c3OTr6yA

Acadian: It does kind of look like a Dwemer ruin in there, especially with the big robot in the background. I never thought of the bonemold similarity, but you are right, they are so alike! I guess that is one more thing that shows the link between the games. I love listening to Liberty Prime! "Democracy is non negotiable!" "Embrace Democracy, or you will be eradicated!" "Democracy is Truth, Communism is death!" I loved that scene in Star Trek II! I cried the first time I saw it, way back in the day. Thanks to the Broken Steel dlc, Anty did not die in the Purifier. Instead she lives on serve the people of the Wasteland, such as by insuring that supplies of purified water are distributed to all.Liberty Prime is back in actionPutting down the Communists EnclaveSadly, the mighty robot met his endHere is a first for me, Raiders in Enclave powered armorFace off under Old OlneyEvel Knievel's last jumpThe eggheads from the Brotherhood have cooked up a new gun for AntyCatching a ride on a Brotherhood vertibirdWatching the final strike against the EnclaveThose tyrants will trouble the Wasteland no more. This post has been edited by SubRosa: Jun 5 2013, 12:55 AM

I love Anty escorting the pack-pig! Yay, the titanium atronach’s back in action – aw, well not for long. Evel Knievel’s last jump looks like some places in the DC Metro (subway) system. Anty’s got a new big-girl gun, then gets a helo lift! And there’s the Capital 4th of July Display at the end!

Not one to let Liberty Prime get all the kills? I think if you stay farther away from the robot you get fewer mortars shot at you. Nice idea with the grenades inside. I thought they said there was more radiation in the chamber! When I played it took me too long to figure out those numbers were buttons, and then actually selecting the buttons was really difficult on a console. I didn’t like the DLCs for Fallout very much, they didn’t add a whole lot to the game in my opinion. I have never seen raiders in power armor either. I don’t remember well, but how effective is the tesla cannon? I seem to remember it lacking punch. I liked the vertibird ride. And seeing the Enclave’s base explode was quite fun. I liked stumbling across a satellite station that dropped nukes out in the wastes. I always tried to lure enemies into the area the missiles dropped.
