But my characters won't be. I've never been able to pick a character up again after taking a break to complete another game.

I'll just have to stic to Oblivion and two other at a time.

I just seem to lose my connection to the character, probably down to the mortality rate among my characters.

But don´t you have one character who stands out? One of the new ones maybe whose story you want to see unfold even later?

I think it's a case of they don't last long enough to make much of an imprint, so taking a break from the game means my feel for them fades. Though it's not just Oblivion, I tend to find with all my games that I can't just pick up where I left off a month or so previously. It just feels wrong for some reason, maybe uncomfortable is a better word, I don't know.

Guess I have trouble getting immersed in a game I'm not starting from scratch.
