Ready, aim, FIRE! Hidetaka does look funny with a pistol - even a whiz bang one. That katana looks like it absolutely belongs in her hand - a part of her.

Acadian: Guns are not her go to weapon, but sometimes they come in handy. Like against fire-breathing geckos. It's also a nod to her family history. Her brother Oda cemented his rule over Japan by defeating the Takeda clan at Nagashino with arquebuses.
Gosh it took me this long to notice how appropriate Hidetake’s footwear is! She was a neat character. May she rest beside a waterfall of real cherry blossoms.
Oh, Hecate is neat wherever she goes!
And more Senua! That game has wonderful looks and seems like it would be very engaging. Nice to see you giving it another go.

Acadian: In Fallout 3 and New Vegas armor is all one piece. So the split toe socks are part of the entire package. Only the helmet is a separate item.
Hecate is working out well in Pillars. Maybe I will give her a go in Skyrim or Oblivion? If I can get her glasses.
It is not blood or dirt on Senua's right hand and forearm. That is the Darkness inside her, a rot that steadily grows every time you die in the game. Supposedly if it reaches your head you die permanently, and the game is over. But it never does.
Looks very moody - in a neat way. It seems like there may be a good balance between being inside Senua's head and a fair amount of action. Certainly looks like an interesting game!
The screenshots are as wonderful to see this time as were the ones where you showed us your first go through. Are you enjoying the experience second time through? I'm guessing you are as it sure looks like a powerful story. Gosh what a spectacular sky in your first shot!
Despite the harsh lands, these are beautiful pictures. Nice studies of Senua's face. Her wide open eyes and overall expressions quite convey her desperation... almost a sense of internal panic. Very cool and I'm so glad you're enjoying experiencing her story again.

Acadian: They really did a spectacular job with painting a vivid setting in this game, and with the motion capture and voice acting of the actress who plays Senua. The funny thing is she was not even a professional actress. She is one of the behind the scenes people who works for the developer. They used her as a temporary stand in for Senua during the first days of development, before they could hire an actress. She was so good at it that they kept her as Senua.
That is the end of the game this time around. It was still really good the second time around. One of the good things is that I still sort of remembered the really tricky puzzles, so they did not vex me so much. But the biggest bonus was understanding that I did not have to win the final battle. I really think this would make a great movie, or Netflix series.
Some more powerful shots of Senua's game. So glad you enjoyed your second play through! I recall seeing a short vid clip I think you linked featuring the young lady who did the acting/formed the basis for Senua. Very neat!

What a hoot as Hecate shares her Fallout comparisons. Flying deathclaws indeed! Love her big ponytail, Triss outfit and trademarked HecateSpecs. You’ve done a fabulous job with her!

Acadian: It took me a week, but I finally remembered you can zoom in with the right mouse button when using a bow! I am starting to get back in the way this game is played.
Wonderful shots, and so glad to see Hecate adjusting nicely to the medieval fantasy tundra. Properly modded, I did indeed find Skyrim to be a magnificently satisfying archer/sniper hunting ground. After 4K hours in the game with only one character though, it did grow to feel. . . a bit small and overly familiar.

Acadian: Skyland got old for me too. But since I have left it alone for over a year, I find I am rediscovering some things again. Especially dialogue. I am hearing things which I swear is for the first time. Which could be, it has been many years since I did the vanilla start of the game, and seen Hadvar and Ralof, or talked to Jarl Balgruuf and Farengar.
I'm so glad that you and Hecate are enjoying Skyrim. I can imagine how coming back after a time off would be pretty nice - it is a neat game, after all. Great dragon fightin' shots of Hecate and her bow in action!
This one really captures some of the game's limitations. The bowstring's well ahead of the arrow; her hair is totally unaffected by the blast of frost; and I could probably find more.
But it's still a great screenie!
