I've been creating a few more characters, mainly to lock in the names before others grab them. Laurie Craft (not my first attempt at her name, but less failed attempts than I expected), Wizwen, and Cat Man Dhou. I may create the rest of my limit, just to have more races represented.
Laurie will be working with Blossom to build up the crafting skills. Blossom can craft Redguard style, so the recovered mats won't get wasted. Laurie hasn't learned Orcish (or Bosmer, Nord or Khajiit) but hopes to soon. Unna has Bosmer, and a higher level of Blacksmith than the crafter pair right now, but she's mainly making things for herself to use (heavy and greatswords) and wants the Ancient Elven (assuming that cuirass she got was that style) so she can keep her look.
Wizwen is currently stuck trying to battle the Veiled Heritance leaders solo. I suspect they're leveled for multiple players to take them on, but nobody else is in there right now. Her Clannfear isn't as much help as she needs.

Trey finished Foul Chew- (sounds like a nasty dog toy- which I guess is appropriate) with some help from some other folks who happened to be wandering through. Bolstered by that success, he went to the Wyrd Tree- and died- AGAIN. So a few writs later, he stumbled into the Illesan Tower ruin and discovered that the Red Rooks are involved with some other bodies somewhere.
Meanwhile, Izanami, who had been left on the Port Hunding waterfront far too long, decided to help Captain Kaleen. He had some doubts, as she kept talking about a "heist," but he owes her his life and that is a debt that must be paid. So he managed to find the three associates she wanted and convinced them to help out. He did, however, turn over what he suspects was a stolen gem. Through the course of these diversions, he is slowly accumulating the heavy armor he would prefer, destroying the hateful reminders of his time in Cold Harbour as he goes.

QUOTE(treydog @ Jan 1 2018, 07:57 PM) Trey headed to Eastmarch to check out the New Life Festival invitation he was handed in Stros M'Kai. (It seemed better than going to Sheo's house for some happy hijinks- besides the undead, Trey has an aversion to madness- what with his Corprus experience and all).
From there, he headed to Bergama in the Alik'r and completed the Fire Sprint. Of course, getting to Eastmarch and then to Bergama involved some roundabout travel, because he had not yet discovered wayshrines in those provinces... a problem which is now fixed. After all the dashing about (and dodging various murderous Daedra, banditti, critters, and etc., the Mage Guild request is looking less of a bad thing- at least it is sorta right there in nice, safe Glenumbra).
But now he has a nifty souvenir mug to show all his friends.
Of course, Daggerfall had it's own share of perils, as he assisted the Beldama Wyrd in fighting back the Bloodthorn corruption.
Since he was touring the realm anyway, he also decided to see what this Skaldir in Deshaan wanted. But before he could get there, a rather insistent Dunmeri girl roped him into investigating a "plague" and the people who claimed to be curing it. Nostalgia for Vvardenfell made it impossible for him to turn down the request- even if these Dunmer no longer have the "rasp" in their voices that was once so familiar to him.
Sounds like Trey is bouncing around testing out a little bit of everything! Did he try any of the other New Life quests? They are all just fun, light-hearted and easy to do quests. It is actually my favorite of the annual festivals; even though the Jester Festival is a laugh riot!

But what Class will you make them? I made a bunch of Nightblades; then found out I loved Dragon Knights better and that Templars had much higher DPS; etc. I actually did test out the other Classes before doing that; but didn't have help building them properly; and ended up hating all of them except the Nightblade. Well; once I had help building the Dragon Knight and Templar, I wished I'd never thrown those characters away. (seriously = the ones I tried to build couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag). So you may want to make at least one of each Class and fiddle around with their builds to find out what pleases you the most.

QUOTE(treydog @ Jan 9 2018, 08:32 AM) Trey and Izinami took a tour of some lovely homes throughout Tamriel, thanks to haute. The furnishings and themes were quite envy-inducing, and caused my characters to resolve to redouble their efforts to develop crafting skills.
Trey finally defeated the Wyrd Tree corruption after realizing that his creator was giving him bad advice. Sniping from a distance is too slow and gives the Corruption a chance to blast one with many frost spells. The key is to wade into melee range and do max damage with all melee and ultimate skills, then duck back for the protection of one of the Elementals. It is still a hard solo fight, but possible with the right tactics.
I must go visit some myself. I've been previewing the empty ones, but seeing them furnished would help with the planning, too. On the other hand, it would be nice to target acquiring homes that nobody else is using, so the Guild as a whole has variety of meeting spots. I've only done the Wyrd tree with a melee character, and that was impossible when the protective circles didn't. My news is the creation of Speads-her-Ankles (preferred -Thighs was already in use!) as a Sorceress, so the races I don't currently have are Altmer, Breton, Dunmer, and Imperial. Wizwen did finally get past the Veiled Heritance leaders, and complete that arc of quests. I never did work out how she did it, other than a fortune timing thing with ultimate regen and choice of target.

QUOTE(Acadian @ Jan 9 2018, 04:00 PM) Heh, I think Rider's personal mission is to own ALL the homes! Last time I asked I think she was up to 21. 'Grats to the new Pact Hero! Agreed - Grats to the new Pact Hero! As for MY personal mission — um, NOT ALL the homes, just the ones that can be bought with ingame gold: Pinnacle is the exception that proves the rule (until they come out with another Crown exclusive home that I simply MUST have, but that’s hard to imagine). Though what in Nirn would I do with all these homes?? I”m looking at my list of (yes, Acadian, you are right) TWENTY ONE HOMES and shaking my head . . . It’s a drug, dammit, a drug. My name is Haute Ecole Rider and I”m a housing addict . . .

Ping me if you want a tour
Thanks but that’s ok. Khajiit was really hoping one of them had one of the cool pyramids.

QUOTE(treydog @ Jan 9 2018, 09:20 PM) Trey found the Skyshard he had earlier missed in Siluum, then returned to Abah's Landing to finish up a task for some... friends.
After playing a lethal game of hide-n-seek in a warehouse, he began to think he was too darned old for that kind of nonsense- especially when getting seen by a couple of fishermen cost him 281 gold...

I had Unna and Blossom go back and find the skyshards they missed in their first two zones. Unna also found the Stros M'kai ones while she was there visiting the Hunding's home to look around.
Found the chat function a bit counter-intuitive. Maybe I need to review my key-bindings to make it easier. It's too easy to think you're in chat and fire off random actions. At the same time I'll probably move Ultimate to somewhere I don't clip the key when trying to use something.

I have to say this; after seeing your gorgeous girl yesterday and the screenshots of your Redguard male = you have an amazing talent for making great looking characters! I need to take some tips from you, all mine look like they are glaring at everyone, lol. QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Jan 9 2018, 04:29 PM) Mira now carries the title “Pact Hero”.

Anytime you have a bounty and need a quiet place to hide out; you can always fast travel to the Guild Hall = plenty to do there while you wait for your bounty to go down: combat practice dummies; crafting; banker and merchant; etc = and you might end up seeing some Guildees hanging out there to talk to while you wait! (You can fast travel to the houses from anywhere, even the middle of a dungeon). On houses = anyone with jobs that net them bounties should buy the house in Reapers March. Its back door is 20 feet from the Outlaw Refuge with no guards between the house and the door! All my Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood characters with a bounty use it as a quick jump to the Fence and a refuge to ride out the bounty if it is too big to pay.
